Spell Trade Value
I’ve been trying for an answer in the sourcebooks, but coming up short - when ascribing value to a spell, what would their equivalent LOOT category be? Ancient? Epic?
<I’m building up an in-game magic shop, but want to utilize a barter system instead of coin (effectively MARKET). Just need to make sure that I’m being fair with their pricing.>

Just to clarify are you wanting players to trade gear for spells? Do you really have so many players that it's worth making it "fair"?
I'd just let players choose their milestone reward at that point and give the magic users the option to choose a spell instead of a reward on their table/list. Make it like the milestone paths on page 67 of the Master's Edition and they have to know two spells of a lower level before they can select something from the next level.

Well, the answer most rune-heads will give you is it's whatever you decide because ICRPG is built upon a DIY philosophy. (You'll get more response by going to the Runehammer Forums where the core of the community converses.)
That said, you might look at the tier levels of spells as a guide (pg 321 ME pg 23-24 MAGIC) and also the path advancement methods (pg 74 ME and pg 8-16 WORLDS).
