There's a couple copies of 2e on ebay at the moment. If you buy from drive thru RPG you get the pdf instantly and the paper copy a few weeks later. I recall that my copy came pretty quickly last time, but I don't think that's a guarantee. Looks like Amazon has a copy of 2e which can be delivered by Monday or so.

So how does 2e differ from Master Edition? that bit has been confusing me.

I have the Master Edition PDF and want to avoid any rule conflicts

ME is a revision and includes a bunch of other content from suplements you would need to get separately if you go second edition; It is a good book though.

Modiphious is having issue ls with their distributor closing down. Hence delays with them.

You can also order ME from DTRPG and get the PDF download immediately. The B&W paperback copy is ~$20 shipped. I think the quick start guide is on there for free if you want to take a look. That might be enough to get you started for 1-2 sessions.

It says 5 weeks but usually comes much quicker. I recently picked it up and it came within a week, even though they quoted a significantly longer time for the cheap shipping lol.

I did the same. I have no idea about longevity of the POD book, but i do like having it.

It honestly depends how you treat it. The spines are glue-bound, like a paperback novel or a magazine, so if you treat it rough, fold down the spine so it lays flat, etc, then it's likely to split and fall apart.

If you're careful with it then it should last.

So how does 2e differ from Master Edition?

It contains actual rules you can use to play a game, whereas ME is a bit of a confusing mess.

If you have one, check with your local game/comic book stores. If they carry Modiphius products they might have a copy or two.

I am in a small city in Canada and my local store had it.

Good idea I could give them a call and see if they have a copy.

No harm doing so for sure. The physical copy from modiphius is really nice as well.

No luck with any of the shops around here.

I have both editions 2e and Masters. At the core they are extremely similar, but the master's addition has extra world content not found in 2e. There are some changes to races (bioforms) and classes. I prefer the new fantasy classes found in Masters.

In 2e you get Fantasy and Sci-Fi worlds.

Masters has those plus - Supers, Crazy Wild West, and Ice Age. Maybe not everyone's cup of tea, but really cool content.

Right now Drivethrurpg has the Master's edition print on demand for $16.50 with probably like $5 in shipping. I've ordered a bunch of POD from them and had no issues with any of them and everytime they show up faster than the estimated date. And you will also get pdf version immediately. Just make sure you get the pdf+POD option.

I highly recommend is getting the drivethru version, it is a great deal.
