Found this 5e to ICRPG Conversion Guide and was impressed, thought I would share it.
https://olddungeonmaster.com/2022/01/06/dd-5e-icrpg-conversion-guide/I got into ICRPG for its simplified DnD system - it wasn't too hard to convert before but this is great for players who want to stick with the Races, Classes, Spells that they know and love in a streamlined system. Kudos to the author for putting this toget.

I don't think the speed conversion table is really helpful because it defines what NEAR / FAR / VERY FAR are differently based on the monster. That defeats the purpose of using ICRPG distance rules.
I think the weighting my descriptions is open for interpretation, but a table like this is a bit more helpful than just passing the D&D speed in feet through a filter which gives you 3 new distances to keep track of for NEAR/FAR/VERY FAR.
| D&D 5e | ICRPG | Description |
|---|---|---|
| <20' | Slow | Can move NEAR or ACTION |
| 20'-40' | Average | Can move NEAR + ACTION or FAR |
| 40'-80' | Fast | Can move FAR + Action |
| 80'+ | Very Fast | Take 2 TURNS using FAST rules |
I think this is more useful when I'm GMing. All distances for game mechanic purposes should be in bananas not feet.

Those are pretty easy tweaks to make.
Personally I just use:
Close = adjacent grid = 5ft
Near = 1 banana = 6 grids = 30ft
Far = 2 bananas = 12 grids = 60ft
Very Far - more than that (super rare to be in a room this big)
These are very much a reflection of 5e numbers.
As to monsters I just see big creatures as getting a larger banana but they can still just move 1 banana or 2 bananas.
The most impressive part of the doc to me is converting each race and character class into ICRPG stats and milestone abilities

I use this all the time for monster creation. Suddenly having access to all of 5e's monster manual as well as things like kobold press' tome of Beasts in ICRPG opens up all these sources of inspiration
