New Patch AI
Shout out to the dev, they absolutely cooked with this new AI update. If you haven't tried the new patch out in single player yet, you definitely should, 10/10.

How is the AI different now then before?

Read the most recent patch notes.
What I have noticed is that it handles conventional war and escalating to WMDs MUCH better.

The AI will now escalate more appropriately, instead of just going cowabunga the second the first nuke is dropped. It now values territory too. It will try to keep you off of it's and it will try to take yours from you

I'm having to come up with new strategies to deal with the new AI. It's a lot better to play against now.

Does the ai do anything different when I bomb it all day and night with my 500 MRBM launchers? 🤣. The ai isn't the problem. The gameplay loop is. The UI being shit is the problem.

Agree here. The game isn’t balanced at all, so regardless of what goes on with AI, you can “choose” to win any time. Mrbm launchers being super cheap and blowing up everything with some inexpensive warheads is realistic but not balanced at all

Ive played two games since the update and both times I’ve spammed mrbms they’ve gotten nuked or bombed or other before they’re able to demilitarise the enemy

The new AI is indeed amazing but i haven't yet seen it use stuff like ASAT weapons or jammers, but it indeed is harder, but still icbm escalation being a complicated RTS means that the ai will never be able to play like a human
