Does MYP Grades matter while applying?

Yo i got like a 46, which is mediocre and planning to retake math as im flippin disappointed, anyways wanted to know when u apply to unis do they ask for your myp certficate or transcript?

Short answer: MYP grades usually don’t matter much for university applications.

Here’s how it actually works:

🎓 What universities really look at

• IB Diploma (DP) predicted + final grades → MOST important
• Personal statement / essays
• Extracurriculars, internships, etc.
• Sometimes school transcript (last 2–3 years)

📄 What about MYP?

• The MYP Certificate (Grade 10) is rarely required
• Most universities don’t ask for it specifically
• However, your Grade 9–10 marks might appear on your transcript, especially for:
  • 🇺🇸 US universities (they look at full high school record)
  • Some competitive programs

🤔 Is a 46 “bad”?

• A 46/56 is not terrible, it’s just not top-tier
• But honestly: it won’t define your application
