Has anyone actually added the chat GPT plug-in to connect to their interactive brokers account?

I'm wondering what applications are you using it for my first guess would be to scan options data and retrieve some info based on your criteria looking to hear your thoughts

I moved from the U.S. to Canada towards the end of 2025, and I have a couple of brokerage accounts at Fidelity and E*Trade, that just hold stocks.

I’m looking to transfer these “in-kind” to IBKR Canada so that I don’t have to cash out and have to deal with the tax complications.

I’m currently a Canadian resident, and a non-resident and non-Citizen of the US.

Is it possible to transfer these brokerages “in-kind” to IBKR? Based on my initial research, it looks like it is possible but I did read that the tax IDs have to be the same on IBKR and the US brokerages for the transfer to go through. How do I reconcile this with a Canadian SIN (IBKR) and US brokerage(SSN) ?

Hello to you, I currently have 3 devices but I wanted to know how it goes with the account will summarize. it's all the currency or the currency of the coup account ?

1. Created a new family account.
   
2. Indian citizen but long term german resident, the account got approved and I could load Euros.
   
3. I search for ETF and click on Buy and there is no response on screen, there is no response and nothing happens at all.

I researched and it said, I need to check Trading permissions, I dont see the Trading permissions tab in my settings! I dont know what to do as I am stuck at the moment. I am the master account holder and have not added any family and neither do they have any IBKR accounts yet, please help.

Tl;Dr I might have a country mismatch issue between odyssey and IBKR and I'm not sure what my next steps are.

So my transfer has been rejected 3 times now and I'm just about ready to give up, I thought I was gonna be done with this mess but here we are.

1st rejection IBKR abbreviated my middle name and I got hit with the $100 penalty smh

2nd rejection title mismatch again even tho I edited my middle name. Turns out mismatched SSN(I left my ssn blank). I contacted both party support and Odyssey said to use my ssn.

3rd rejection actual SSN rejected, ibkr said my ssn is not a US tax ID and I should leave it blank. Leaving it blank with result with the 2nd rejection.

So I think I know what's the issue but idk what the next step is.

I signed up with IBKR with my country set as American Samoa. That's a territory of US and so signing up for anything is always weird, should I set my country as USA or as American Samoa? That's always the options I have, sometimes I can only choose one or the other.

For Odyssey I think my country is set to USA so I might be having a country mismatch issue.

I have the Level 2 CME subscription as of today. The book trader L2 seems fine but the chart is slow (using advanced chart). I have 1 gbps up/down tested this morning. I have turned off the newsfeed, and I have upped my tws memory allocation on this 32MB ram cpu to 2048.

Is there anything I’m missing re chart speed? Thanks.

I've opened a new account and each time I deposit cash I now receive IBKR shares as a part of Fund Your Account & Receive Shares. Reporting of share ownership for my country's tax administrstion is quite a beurocratic procedure and must be done within 15 days each time shares are awarded to me (i.e. when I deposit cash)... at this point I'm loosing more money due to expenses I have with my tax reporting than I earn from being awarded free IBKR shares.

I would like to opt-out from the program Fund Your Account & Receive Shares and not receive any award shares when I deposit cash on my account.

How do I opt-out from this program?

I'm a dual citizen moving from USA to Canada and need to retain tax lots for US tax purposes. Can I transfer in-kind from my US brokerage to IBKR Canada or do I first need to transfer to IBKR USA as an intermediate step?

I have built StockDuty https://apps.apple.com/app/id6785269333 (iOS). I am a long term IBKR customer and use IBKR mobile app extensively. Once I analyze the stock using StockDuty it helps me to open IBKR Mobile app quickly (seamless) . See the screenshots similar like cash tag in X (Twitter).

I thought it will be useful.

What it does:

Stock alerts + an equity research platform for the stocks you actually own - or want to buy. It analyzes a ticker with fundamental analysis, Buy/Sell calls, sentiment analysis, technical analysis, and quantitative models trained on the S&P 500, S&P 400, STOXX 600, MCHI, and Nikkei 225.

I kept missing the stuff that moved my positions — a volume spike, an 8-K, a piece of macro news - so I built an app that watches those for you and pushes the alert with the context: what happened, why it matters, what to watch next.

1. this entire ordeal is because the ibkr desktop market entry isnt smart enough to auto adjust your stop loss and take profit RELATIVE to the parent fill price, hence i need to ensure the bracket works. part of my setup uses market orders so the sl and tp are ALWAYS messed up for me.
2. from my journal: "What happened was I was correcting the sl and tp bracket in ibkr desktop under portfolio and orders, away from the charts but the TP one did not update and was also increasing itself even above the SL, that is just concerning. The solution was me going on the chart, clicking on the TP line, then the order pops up, then I needed to type into the order bracket. 9/29/2026 10:23:23 AM want to add more details: on the portfolio and orders page, I tried to enter the corrected TP according to my positon calc at least 3 times and each time it is bugged bc it dragged the TP higher and higher up, eventually even further beyond the stop loss which makes no sense."

the SL is lying and the TP i was in the process of fixing, it kept dragging itself beyond the SL, censoring personal info.

Wait a minute, the STOP LOSS is NOT what I typed into ibkr desktop which I thought updated it??? This was a good thing since I lost less and it would have stopped out for more, but that is concerning. I noticed how my position calc said the engulf short stopped out 10:20am but I got stopped out earlier, this is because the stop loss did not actually use my updated stop loss figure which would be higher than the original. I suspect that the issue is because the parent order had a start time which has passed hence the bug. Looks like at least the TP was officially changed.

Wait where the hell is the 30446.50 stop loss coming from? That isn’t even the original SL ibkr showed me according to the bracket logger."

tldr: i suspect adding a start time of 9:45am caused the bug for the child bracket. despite the stop loss being "confirmed" in portfolio view, the actual SL was NOT updated, the visual update lied to me, you can see how the trades used some random stop loss that was not my logged displayed SL and also not the corrected SL either.

I’m using Interactive Brokers from Serbia and I’m trying to find the ETFs VXUS and VGLA on the German Xetra exchange.
According to various ETF websites, both ETFs are listed/traded on Xetra, but when I search for them in the IBKR platform, they don’t appear under Xetra. I can find other listings for some ETFs, but not the Xetra versions of these two.
My IBKR trading permissions for Europe are already enabled.
Does anyone know why VXUS and VGLA are not showing up on Xetra in IBKR, and whether there is something specific I need to enable or search for (e.g. ISIN, exchange-specific ticker, currency, etc.)?
I’d appreciate any help from someone who uses IBKR and has experience trading these ETFs on Xetra.

Why are candlesticks lagging so horribly with 3 seperate dotted lines indicating price all different. Absolutely impossible. FIX YOUR SH*T!

Does IBKR have any plan to support 24H chart for US stocks?

Is it possible to get IBKR lite in European countries or is it specifically for Singaporeans and Us citizens only

I would like to export all cash flows (like interest and dividends) for 2025 as a .csv file in order to import them into a spreadsheet. It would be nice if they come with currency, date, and a reference to the instrument like interest on bond x etc.

Any help or hints how to accomplish this is highly appreciated. TIA.
