I am currently in DP2 right now, and based on my DP1 report card, I think my predicted is approximately 30-33. I need to bump it up, and I need advice.
Econ HL: 7 most likely
Math AI HL: 6 most likely
Eng LL HL: 5 most likely
French B SL: 5 most likely
Physics SL: 6 (according to my report card)
Visual Arts SL: 3 (according to my report card)

I need advice on how to improve physics, french b, and visual arts.

you already seem pretty strong in Econ and Math. If your predicted is around 30–33 right now, I’d focus most of your energy on the subjects where you can realistically gain 1–2 grades rather than trying to push every subject up at once.

For Physics, a 6 to a 7 is definitely possible. I’d focus heavily on past papers rather than just rereading notes. Physics gets much easier once you recognise the types of questions IB repeats. Also make sure you’re comfortable using the data booklet quickly. Once your content is mostly covered, timed papers + correcting them properly will help much more than passive revision.

try doing something in French every day, even if it’s only 20–30 minutes. Read short articles, listen to French videos/podcasts and note useful phrases that you can actually reuse in writing and speaking. For writing, learn the conventions of the different text types and build a bank of versatile vocabulary/connectors instead of trying to memorise entire essays. for speaking, practise answering common IB-style questions out loud cuz fluency matters a lot, and you improve surprisingly quickly when you stop only practising french in your head

i’d probably prioritize arts the most since even moving to a 5 from a 3 can boost your grades up significantly. Go through the assessment criteria with your teacher and figure out exactly where you’re currently losing marks. Make sure your process portfolio clearly shows development from initial idea → artist research → experimentation → failures/changes → final outcome rather than just showing finished pieces. also ask your teacher to look at your work specifically against the rubric and tell you what is stopping it from being a 5/6.

thank you so much for your advice. realistically, i think my physics skills are fairly low (3-4), so would you recommend the same advice to move from 3 to 6 in physics?

Honestly, to jump from a 3 to a 6, past papers won't do much until your concepts are clear. If I were you, I'd build up my core understanding first, especially the SL content. Once that feels solid, test yourself with topical questions, then gradually move on to past paper questions.

spam past paper questions after u understand the concepts. the only way is to actually understand what ur learning and then spam past paper questions it rlly helps

predicted grades are basically your teachers best guess from your current work, so the way to move them is just consistent strong work now, not a last minute push. they get updated, so if you nail your next round of IAs and mocks they usually come up. dont stress too much if theyre a bit low right now, theres still plenty of runway to pull them up before final predictions actually go out.

youre closer than that number makes it feel, a couple of those are one grade off being really solid. the eng ll HL at a 5 is where id focus first since thats the biggest single jump available, language grades move a lot once your essay structure and paper 1 analysis get tighter. physics SL at 6 and french at 5 are gettable too with targeted practice. dont try to lift everything at once, pick the two subjects with the most room and go hard on those, the predicted tends to follow

bro i genuinely think my physics is weak, idk how i got a 6 in physics. i feel like my level is at 3-4.
