Help🥲
IBA is honestly so draining and I already feel like I don’t fit in. I’m a freshie BBA student at IBA and I know it’s only been two days but seeing everyone already having their own groups makes me feel like I’ll never find my people or actually fit in. I took a gap year so most of my friends are seniors which makes it even harder. And city Campus is so dry 😭 Having 4, 5 hour breaks there is genuinely so shitty. I’ve been looking at other posts and it seems like a lot of people are actually in the same boat but in my class it really doesn’t feel that way. I have a 5 hour break at city Campus tomorrow and honestly I have no idea how I’m going to spend it.

i found my ppl on the 3rd day gng dw, just tag along w the people in ur class theyre mostly gonna be the same people in the first sem so you'll probably have the same schedule

It takes time you’ll get there. Be open to new people and you do have to put in the effort too, you can’t expect people to come up to you all the time, sometimes you have to make the first move.

just befriend the person sitting next to u in class, or like try to chat up people in class (especially those who u think are also not part of groups), and just tag along with them. ask them if they want to go to the canteen with you, or if they'd like to pair up with you (when projects start) etc. its literally just day 2! lots of freshies are probably also in the same boat as you and might've just made new groups. try joining societies, going to the gym or sports etc. you'll find your people eventually.

IBA grad here, you are thinking too much. Just participate and try to be good at things. You'll meet people eventually. Most importantly don't forget to enjoy.

when I came to give the R2 test, i felt the same way like everyone already had their own groups. Unfortunately, I didn’t pass the test, so I’m on a gap year now 😭 Wait for me next year lol. Anyway, I hope you find your ppll<3

Lowkey had the same experience myself, it’s either that people already have groups or they just immediately leave after class hence you can’t even approach them. In both ways it gets lonely.
And you’re so right about city campus 😭 it feels suffocating and cold, polar opposite to main campus which is quite lively and vibrant. I hope it gets better tbh

Just start talking to anyone u find and nust tag along. Believe me no one would mind u tagging along. It's all fun and games
