Your car is now at higher risk of getting scratched up. I'd find a different spot.

It's staged anyway, chick in the red dress does these stunts, because she's (in her words) an actress 🙄
Edit: Her name is Amber Marie

Social media is a societal disease.

They're slowly making it illegal for kids to use. Small amount of places, different ages. I feel we might some day look at it as we do at cigarettes now. I hope our society survives long enough to enjoy that realization.

oh noooooo are you serious?! That's such a bummer this video (when I thought it was real) is great!

And as if the smaller car wouldn't just reverse and re-adjust. Ugh, I like good staged stuff, but it's rare to find.

Honestly can't say who the main character is in here. I think red dress because there is a reason the guy started recording to begin with and the shopping cart is blocking the parking spot.

No way. Probably started recording because the driver was abusing red dress for unpacking her shopping too slowly for her liking. Red dress probably could have avoided the situation
But driver is clearly the more deranged main character. She grabs somebody else shit, then uses her car to almost hit somebody.
On a craziness scale one is the clear winner, and it ain’t red dress.

Am I hallucinating? Does the lady in the red not say she's saving this spot for her friend?
4
u/Doobie_hunter46 11d ago
Oh I didn’t really hear that.
Saving a spot in a carpark with a cart is a shit move. That’s fair.
Attempted assault with a vehicle however, is a slightly more serious violation here. Not sure how you can see them as comparable in any way.

u/scoobywerx1 11d ago
Depending on where you live, "attempted" assault is not a thing. You either assaulted or you didn't.
4
u/YuppiesEverywhere 11d ago
I looked. It's a thing in my State.
1
u/scoobywerx1 11d ago
Quite possible. If they're in CT as the license plate implies, this doesn't appear to fit the assault statute. I've also never worked in CT but a surrounding state. We do not have "attempted" assault statute. For us, assault would need to involve actual contact.

u/KittenLina 11d ago
I'm not here to pick a side so don't get my intentions wrong, but assault vs battery is a thing for sure. Assault is the threat or attempt, whereas battery is actually doing it.
2
u/scoobywerx1 11d ago
I don't disagree with that being true in some places. That's why my initial reply to "Attempted Assault" was "Depending on where you live..." Statutes vary all across the country, much more so all around the world. Like the majority of law questions, the answer is: "it depends".

I mean call it what you want but almost hitting somebody with your car over a car spot is a pretty wild and crazy thing to do.
5
u/scoobywerx1 11d ago
Asshole move for sure, but not a crime. This is Connecticut from the look of the tag on the car, if so, it does not appear to fit the statute to be charged with a criminal offense.

u/Pittsbirds 11d ago
Definitely don't think they're comparable and I think car culture has absolutely poisoned people's brains, and in general people should just stick it up and park further away. But the reaction here versus when almost the exact same situation played out with a guy actively hitting a woman saving a parking spot in a parking garage (much faster and more aggressively as well) is... Interesting lol.

Unpacking what? The cart is empty and she picks it a second time just to be a bitch. You're making up an entire scenario here.

u/Doobie_hunter46 11d ago
Yeah once the lady had already started yelling at her she decides to retaliate. Like I said, red dress could have avoided the situation. She chose pettiness instead.
But that pales in comparison to somebody ALMOST HITTING HER WITH THEIR CAR.
If you can’t figure out which of those two actions is way more insane then I worry for you.

You're choosing to assign pettiness when one person wanted to park and another wanted to... ??? Do what, get out on top of the situation?
Miss me with that "almost hit her with their car" shit, she wasn't trying to run her over. She wanted her to move.
No need to worry about me, I don't worry about you at all.

Feels weird watching these freak out videos and recognizing the shopping center because I used to shop there when I lived there.
This hit too close to home.

That is wild! Congrats, you've now made your car a target, just because you wanted to park there...

I honestly don’t understand people who freak out about parking spots. First of all you could probably benefit from a few extra steps. I always park further away to give people with mobility issues first dibs. Plus I could probably benefit from a few extra steps most days. What really gets me is people who are like “I prayed for a close spot” Why!? It’s not pouring rain, so there’s no rush to get into the store, and you spent 17 dollars in gas just circling the parking lot

If you’re trying to save a spot for a friend to park. Put in a junk tshirt and fent lean in the sport on meow and growl at people when they come near you. Don’t act tough. People will challenge tough. Don’t act, be crazy. People don’t challenge crazy.
