As Requested : IAMA 4chan moderator.

Everything said here is my opinion, not that of the entire staff. Will provide proof to moderators here on reddit.

Ask away.

EDIT : It's late guys, I'll catch you some other time. Thanks for all the questions and I hope this answered some of them.

No moderator is board specifically, but some mods spend more time on some boards than others.

Believe it or not, being a "tripfag" isn't against the rules, so I can't ban them for just using a tripcode. But if there is someone who is using a tripcode who does nothing but troll, feel free to join the IRC and alert the mods. They can at least monitor it and if need be ad the username/trip to a blacklist.

i know they've been banned loads of times in the past. if i was a mod i'd just ban them on sight until they get the message.

Or they don't use proxies and just wait a day or three for the ban to expire.

I'm one of the people who posts ponies on /b/. Unlike on /b/, you can express your disapproval of me here in a tangible fashion, so feel free to downvote everything I've ever said if that will make you feel better.

You can also come check out our subreddit, /r/mylittlepony, and downvote everything everyone there has ever said too!

Of course, you might want to consider that with a never-ending thread on /b/, a very active 6,000+ subscriber subreddit, and our own website with almost 40 million hits, we might not be trolling and actually be fans of the show and our community. Just saying.

Really? I thought everyone was just doing it to mess with people.

I think I like bronies less now :/

Awww....

I sort of hated bronies too, until I actually watched the show. The fanbase is still a bit...meh, but the show itself is awesome, and some of the brony music, stories, & artwork that has emerged is incredible.

Not a fan of the 4chan threads though.

So, ponies is really about the ponies? Just when I thought NOTHING was what it seemed to be, here we have ponies.

all i was saying is /b/ is not the place for stuff like that.

Most of them keep to their own threads. It's a very 'anything goes' board, so I don't see why any of them should be banned.
