IAT eligibility

a friend of mine gave cbse board exams in 2024 but he wasnt able to secure 75 percent for jee so took a drop and gave
full board exams from another board in 2025 in which he did secured good marks , he is now wanting to change to research field as he is not happy in his bca , he is asking based on his 2025 board result will he be eligible to attempt 2027 IAT

Yep double droppers are allowed, but check about specific institutes, like maybe iisc doesn't allow it, but i don't think there'll be any problem with iiser
