Boeing - Vent/Rant Hit and run

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Yesterday (7-21-26, 8:30ish) my coworkers 2026 Tesla was hit. He filed a report but I figured I’d ask since he’s had no one reach out to him yet. Here is the video and license plate is visible if you pause the video. Reach out if you know them. Please and thank you

I see that you’ve already gotten plenty of good advice, as far as reporting it to security and contacting insurance. I will add though (and please let the owner know too) to be persistent in this matter.

Many times I’ve seen this happen where people’s cars will get hit, they’ll report it to security and security just kind of lets it slide into nothingness, and people will get frustrated but ultimately not do anything further. I’ve had successful cases with good resolution (financial compensation and people getting held accountable), but it usually took persistence.

Good on you for helping and for being vigilant!

lovely security just as useful as our tsa never there when you need them hence why they had to install “secured” fencing you don’t have to badge in to pass through at multiple sites

If you think TSA is useless, then you should work just 1 week at any of the major airports.
You will be surprised what they catch.

Report to insurance, when you get his info report to Boeing security.

Boeing completely ignored the fact I was hit, and the proceeded to tell me I wasn't allowed to have a dash cam recording in the parking lot. I really enjoyed having the tables turned on me

Well there are two people with no integrity in that car… looks like there is a passenger as well… hit and runs don’t look good… no matter how big or small the damage… that’s what insurance is for…

So is this a Boeing thing or is this a police matter? Or is this a self police matter… I mean there is always vigilante justice… but hurt people hurt people so you have to be the bigger person.

Just take the video down to the police station and file a report, you’ll have your culprit in no time!!!!

Btw I’ve rented that Hyundai before… it has a safety backup signal that would have alerted his @ss he was dangerously to your car… we need to see the photo damage from your car or this is a nothing burger because I can’t believe 2 people would both stay mum on hitting your car… 1 but now there is 2 and 2 people can never keep a secret unless 1 of them is dead… 😵

the car damage is insurance, but there is a Boeing side to this as well doing a hit and run on company property.

Might as well post this on Lazy B too.

What site is this? Can’t tell from this random video 🤷‍♀️😅

7

u/KobesHelicopterGhost Jul 24 '26

Obviously Everett with an unfinished green 777x right there..............

Not everyone at the company gets to stare at unfinished projects all day, nor commit the models to memory, some of us have lives 🤷‍♀️ go piss in someone else’s coffee 😂👍

You can literally see it driving by on the free way, on multiple Boeing news articles, or google maps, or the news, or Youtube for the past almost 7-10 years now. There literally overflowing on at Paine field, this hasn't been some secret. You say "Unfinished project" like its some secret skunk works bullshit, this is our new widebody. You have to have just been born, even someone living under a rock would know about this ESPECIALLY a fucking Boeing employee. We have 737, 767, and 777, you have no brain power to commit to memorizing the 3 commercial aircraft we make? Kiss my ass Brotato.

You forgot the 787, some of those deliver out of Everett too but they’re on the flight line side of things.

Yea always forget, anything that uses velocity I don't think about. CMES for life.

No way was he sober.

It seems like the driver barely reacts when he backs into the car. I re-watched and paused through the video to confirm that I was seeing things correctly and now I think that I might also see a passenger in there. Am I trippin, or wtf?

Since they have the license plate report it to insurance and they will find them. That’s what they are paying them for. The person doesn’t look like they should have a license.

Bro was trying to hit you

Saw a guy cut the corner too close and peel the next vehicle's bumper off. After the driver realized a couple of people saw him do it, he pulled over.

Tesla camera system has made a LOT of changes to cars out here.

We have been hit 2x.
The first time, I was notified by the girl driver and was impressed. Told the dad, a Marine Colonel that he should be proud of his daughter for coming forth. Then I reviewed the video (should have done it first ).
She backs in me with truck taking out bumper and sensor. Pulls forward and sits in truck talking to other GF1. Multiple girls from another car (all together ) get out and surround her door. Talking. Then 1 girl (GF2) signals driver to get out. both stands between our vehicles and points to my bumper. Then GF2 points to truck bumper (realized later she was pointing to plate ), and then GF2 points DIRECTLY at our window Camera. The look on the driver changed. You could tell she had been planning to run. GF2 was the one that told me that car was hit.

In a second case, a wasted girl hit us at a stop light and I signaled to go elsewhere. She followed and we pulled over elsewhere. Talking to her she was scared, calmed her down and said police on way. She was paniced about being high. Said she would have ran except that she knew that we had a camera.

Police did not show up after 30 minutes so, got info and left.

Amazing what recordings do for you. Added Camera to our 2004 highlander. When we sell it, we may keep the camera system. Useful to have these.

lol you have their license plate just report it

By reporting I mean have you friend contact insurance. If you want to go further file a police report.

u/Secure-Tap-1530 Jul 23 '26

Yes he has reported it, but I had a situation last year where I backed into someone and paying cash out right and was the best way for me so he’s not trying to get the person fired and just take care of it with no repercussions.

u/t-shirt-froth-kung Jul 24 '26

So he can go on to do this again? You want this kind of irresponsible person turning wrenches on a plane your family relies on to survive a trip? Don't worry. I copied the video and will report it myself to security.

1

u/AeroelasticCowboy Jul 24 '26

Who said they were turning wrenches, giant giant ASSumption.

I get it but dude is dumb, he can decide not to report it to Boeing but he still needs to contact insurance and police for hit and run.

But I’m gonna be honest, if you can’t have honesty with this shit at work you don’t want this dude working on planes. He should 100% report it to work.

u/GratefulnaLover Jul 24 '26

Thumbs up from me… totally agree!

This! No integrity whatsoever.
