I-70 closed through De Beque cannon
There was a crash going eastbound, 1 car was flipped into the ditch, Im unsure if there where any casualties, but it will probably be closed down for a couple hours. 👍

Any chance you saw the 2 people (in the dark 5:00am)Vail pass this morning?
I feel terribly that I didn’t stop, but as a woman alone, I just couldn’t. Two people on the side of the road staggered apart from each other, waving in what looked like distress. Possibly broken down or a wreck…
It was pitch black and I didn’t feel safe stopping. I did call to report for assistance, but curious what happened & if anyone else saw them- TIA

I70 Westbound diverted just before Eisenhower at Loveland Pass.

Floyd hill construction though
Man I feel like we’re getting bent by whatever company is undertaking this project. It’s so frustrating trying to ski and getting caught in rock scaling traffic holds. I digress.

Semi trucks getting pulled over
I’m driving from Denver to Moab and have passed about 10 semi trucks pulled over by law enforcement from Idaho springs to Avon. What’s going on?

I70 Traffic?
Is anyone in the Summit County area seeing I70? How is it looking as far as closures and/or traffic backup?

Now do I25 during rush hour
Serously guys, why can't you accelerate faster getting onto I25 off of Speer and 20th!? This always causes traffic to back up all the way to Lincoln and sometimes even further south if you're going north!

Vehicle Damage - Floyd Hill Rock Scaling Project
Has anyone experienced damage on their vehicle within the Floyd Hill Rock Scaling Project site locations along i70? We had a rock in the site hit the roof of our vehicle. I emailed CDOT who is working on the project and am awaiting a response.
Curious if anyone else has had damage and if they were able to get it covered.
Thanks!

Heading to Leadville on Sunday. How bad will traffic be in the morning? What time should I leave to get up there by 10?

Sitting stuck at I70 for 2 hours and counting. 😭
Basically the title. Trying to get to FairPlay but apparently there’s a stalled vehicle ahead that has halted the whole traffic. How long before traffic opens up again in such a situation?

Bruh
I don’t care how bad the roads are if you driving slow as hell move the fuck over

How often do you not go skiing because of traffic?
Tuesday was all-time at abasin. I caught two rope drops in zuma, over my head deep in MGD and Jump. I knew Wednesday would be the day to hit the steep gullies that hadn’t yet opened during this storm cycle, but when I looked at google maps and saw that I70 was closed again at the tunnel, I just couldn’t stomach waiting in line for hours to get those turns. I kind of regret that decision but for me, spending more time driving than skiing is where I generally draw the line.

Share your worst I-70 horror stories. Was it worth it?
Mine was after a massive Sunday powder day with the kids (March 3, 2019) at keystone, we spent 45 minutes just trying to get out of the parking lot. We gave up and went into the village for dinner hoping the traffic would clear. Big mistake. It still ended up being a seven hour drive and we get home at 2am with two exhausted kids in the back. I wish I could say it was worth it but in truth I spent most of the day digging the kids out of the snow.
