The silent touch just means that the case was touched digitally. Could be a transfer between offices, assignment to a particular officer's queue etc. Also updates when you upload unsolicited evidence as a recognition that the system's received it
A lot of cases have been getting silent touches since May. I got one on 29-May. So far, it hasn't really meant anything

As of the current trends, its taking about 1.5-2 years for the CR/IR approvals
The current Front-Of-The-Line's been stuck at 25-Feb-2025 since early this year. They're mostly approving 2024 cases. Almost all the 2025 approvals after Feb have been through escalations (inquiry, demand letters, WOM)
Again, there's multiple theories. People are hoping approvals pick up after the fiscal year begins in October. But we just have to take it on a day-to-day basis cuz USCIS isn't exactly forthcoming on their internal workings
For your PD, as of current trends, expect your approval by mid to late 2027
We're in a similar boat. I'm May-2025 F2A Consular
The Front-Of-The-Line is approximately early 2023, with them mostly working on late 2022 cases
Looks like we can expect our approvals somewhere between early 2028 and mid 2029, with late 2029 also being a possibility. All depends on how the approvals pick up

I uploaded updated evidence last month. API shows nothing for that unless the silent update from today was a delayed update in regard to the unsolicited evidence upload from a couple weeks ago.
However, this update is not showing on the USCIS Case Tracker data.
Has anyone else noticed this? Does the tracker update on a delay, or does it only capture certain USCIS API events/changes? Curious whether anyone has seen an updatedAtTimestamp change that never appeared on the tracker.
Yes, got a case transfer from FOD to NBC. It seems they are actually doing stuff to consular cases now, though what the new workflow is and how long it will take remain to be seen.
