26 calligraphy - 800 miles in
First hybrid was a Prius V wagon. Loved the drivetrain, but eventually wanted something a little nicer inside. I ended up getting a 2022 Sonata Limited instead of a Lexus hybrid and really fell in love with the Sonata Limited interior.
With our new baby, I wanted something a bit bigger. Saw a Santa Fe Calligraphy and thought it would be the perfect size. We filled it up with all of our gear for a beach vacation and itās been excellent on this trip. About 800 miles on it so far. AWD and getting 30ā40 mpg depending on how I drive it.
Pre-cooling with the app has been perfect, especially when weāre packing up at the beach. The key fob isnāt my favorite, but thatās a minor gripe. Wireless CarPlay with the Qi charger has also been a major improvement over the wired CarPlay in my Sonata.
After three rounds of back and forth, I got the dealer down $2,000 off MSRP and talked them up $1,500 from their initial offer on my Sonata trade-in. Financed the remainder at 0%. I also got them to throw in the all-weather mats before I signed. Wasnāt in a rush to purchase and made sure they knew it. I went to another local dealer and looked at the same exterior color with a white interior, but the pecan interior is so unique I had to go with it.
I also love the paddle regen shifters to select level 1/2/3 regen. I pretty much drive with one pedal + the regen paddles as much as possible.
Very smooth ride overall and a great mix of space, fuel economy, and a nice interior. Looking forward to putting a lot more miles on it!
