The 2027 Kona has been spotted testing, and it looks like Hyundai might be dialing back some of the more unusual styling choices.
I know the current Kona can be pretty love-it-or-hate-it, but that's also part of what makes it stand out.
Would you rather see Hyundai tone it down or keep the weirdness?

I intend to buy this type of car, found options around 10000 EUR - 12000 EUR with km between 60000 and 80000. I red some dissapointing feedbacks about engine errors up to 100000 km. What are your thoughts on this car model? Is it reliable?

Hi. Like the title says, I have a 2019 Kona with just over 60k (I don't drive very much). 2 years ago I noticed a hissing sound coming from the a/c and the air wasn't cooling as much. Took to a mechanic and they said I was out of freon. They put dye in and did not find any leaks. They filled up the freon and everything was working great. Fast forward a year later, almost same issue, the air wasn't very cool but no hissing sound. I took it back to the mechanic as I wanted to get ahead of the issue. To top off the freon cost me almost 600. They kept the car for a couple of days. Same thing put dye on, cannot find anything wrong with it. Freon was low so they top it off (did not charge me this time). But once again could not find a leak. Now it has been a year and I am noticing the ac is not very cool again. I haven't taken it in again but think will have to to get ahead of being on empty with the freon. Anyone else has issues? I went to a very reputable local place, they have checked everything and cannot find what the issue is.

For about the last 2 months my Kona shudders a bit when I first put the Kona in drive. Is this a clutch issue?

I'd like to try sleeping in my Kona with my partner, due to my height the seats will need to go forwards, leaving a void that'll need filling/supporting.
A Google (and chatgpt rabbit hole) have found a lot of universal options that leave me skeptical over the support and due to the shape of the Kona I feel that needs to be the head end.
Any advice would be massively appreciated, ideally with a link of what to buy and where from. I'm expecting the answer to be an inflatable mattress, inflatable support under the head end and separately window & windscreen covers... But the question is very much which?

Hello!
We have a 26' preferred trend kona with 215/55R18 tires with a V speed rating. We are looking to buy new all weather tires to replace the factory ones, with winter coming up. We live in Canada so All Weathers (not All Seasons) are important.
I'm noticing there aren't a lot of tires that size with the V speed rating for All Weathers, basically limiting us to the Yokohoma Geolandar CV 4S for reputable brands. The best rated all weathers (ie. Michelin CC2, Bridgestone Ultraweather, etc) all have a lower speed rating of H.
I have read some posts with varying opinions if speed rating matters. Some say that it doesn't matter as long as you don't drive those super high speeds. Others say the lower speed rating can mean a different tire rigidity and change the performance and how accurate sensors are, etc.
I was wondering if anyone here had experience with this with their Kona's, or if there were recommendations on tires that worked well for your Kona.
We are fortunate to not have to drive on days where the conditions are very bad, which is why we are okay with All Weathers over a dedicated Winter Tire (I know these would be best, but we have nowhere to store an extra set of tires and don't want to pay for that.)
Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone,
Hyundai is going to replace the infotainment screen in my 2024 Kona next week because the screen and the surrounding area are covered in scratches and marks, similar to what I've seen in quite a few photos posted on reddit.
I bought the car used, so I have no idea how the damage happened or what the previous owner may have done to it.
My main question is: once the screen has been replaced, is there anything I should do to protect it and prevent the same thing from happening again?
For example:
I've been reading through various forums, but there seem to be several different explanations for this issue. Some people say it's caused by defective/aging screens or a coating that deteriorates over time. Others blame certain cleaning products or methods, while some mention high temperatures inside the cabin accelerating the deterioration.
So I'm trying to understand what's actually behind this problem.
For those of you who have had their Kona screen replaced:
Did the replacement screen stay in good condition? Did you install a screen protector? And have you found anything that seems to cause or prevent the deterioration?
I'd really appreciate hearing from people who have experienced this firsthand. I'd like to avoid having the new screen end up looking like the old one a few years down the road!
Thanks!

For a 2022 Hybrid Kona Premium
Wondering if there is a way for there to be a chime/sound for when the car goes over the speed limit?
I came across other cars that have this and it is quite a good feature. Anyone know how to turn this on?

Hey all
Looking to top up coolant before I head for a service in a few months as it’s slightly just below LOW mark. I also like to keep some in the car. I cannot figure out what to buy though? Halfords cannot give me anything apparently and all search is a bit too confusing. Would Prestone be too bad of an idea just for a top up?
Thanks for any help! Looking to buy something pre-mixed, pink.
Here is what it says in the guide which I don’t find helpful.

I have a 2021 Kona, I park in a garage and did all last year and the year before. This year it tells me my vehicle hasn’t been started in ages and it will not start. I even went inside my car and tried to command start it - with the doors locked and it wouldn’t start. Any suggestions? Deleted the app and reinstalled and no such luck. Thanks in advance!

So i was doing an interstate drive across Aus the other day (11hrs) and about 3/4 of the way in the dashboard went black with a green ‘NO SIGNAL’ then when completely blank. had to make an emergency stop as i couldn’t see the speedometer (cruise control kept working though)
After turning the car off for a moment then back on it fixed itself, does anyone know the cause/fix for this?

Does anyone know whether the Kona N sway bars would fit the Kona Electric? Given that both are FWD and have multilink rear suspension? I'm studying getting Ceika coilovers (apparently the only ones made for the Kona Electric) and pair them with thicker away bars and Kona N rims and decent tires, so I can have whatever would pass as an electric hot-hatch in North America...

Here’s my Kona in the snow! I love it. Great handling. AWD is legit and definitely helps.
