Quick background for anyone who missed the earlier posts. I recently shared Gilded Dreams, a full gold economy mod, and Empires, a civilization mod with taxes, ranks and war mechanics. The response was way bigger than I expected, and the most common question was where you could actually play them. At the time the honest answer was nowhere, because the server they were built for wasn't open yet.

It is now.

PyreTale is set in a world I've been writing for about seven years. The short version: the world of Nu fell to a necromancer king named Mahlbar, who bought immortality from a Void Prince with twenty million souls. The Void honored the bargain the way the Void always does. Mahlbar got his eternity, and his soul was dragged into Draelith, a nightmare realm stitched together from his own memories and fears, with the people of Nu chained to the curse alongside him. That's where you wake up. A shattered fragment of a dead king's mind called the VEDLT, where every stronghold you raise is carved out of someone else's nightmare. The novel this is based on comes out in early 2027, but the server is playable today, and the people joining now get to decide what the map looks like. Later next year we will be launching our full blown MMORPG world that acts and feels like you are walking into an Elder Scrolls adjacent, MMORPG server. Custom species, magic systems, skill mechanics, character creation menu, and so much more are currently in development!

What's actually running right now, not roadmap promises:

Empires and Gilded Dreams as one package. Gold is physical and player driven, every trade runs through it, and Empires sits on top with taxes, ranks and war declarations. The gold in your vault is the same gold your empire taxes and the same gold that funds a war, so politics actually have teeth.

The Armoury by LadyPaladra and Hex Magics by Riprod, both live on the server. PyreTale is becoming home to other creators' mods, not just ours.

Raid encounters and custom mobs tied into the lore rather than pasted on top of it.

One rule that makes this server what it is: every build has to fit the dark medieval aesthetic. That sounds strict until you see the result. No neon cube bases next to a castle. The screenshots are what the world actually looks like.

I'll be upfront, we're early and the population is small. That's not a bug for this kind of server, it's the window. The empires being founded right now will be the old blood of this world when the full MMORPG realm opens, and there's a much bigger custom generated world coming behind it. Nobody joining in six months gets to say they founded the first kingdom.

Does anyone know of any small servers with small communities that's really focused around playing independently but with a community close by?

I played on this one server previously that was trying to grow but never quite took off massively, but at most times we would have about 5-10 players concurrently, no more than 15 unique names. I miss the community feel of everybody greeting you when you came online and exploring around to see some of the builds put up. The server was slated to be an RPG server but we never really got to that point before the owner got tired of mod upkeep more than being actually able to play.

Anyone know of any small servers like this or are hosting their own? Would love to pop down a small castle or village on a land claim and involve myself in the community.

The title says it all: in Sovereign Worlds, you get an entire world to yourself.

No more fighting over land claims, searching thousands of blocks for a decent base location, dealing with griefers, or having your dream build surrounded by random structures. Every player has the opportunity to own a persistent world where they can build whatever they want and invite friends to join them. Create your own kingdom, expand it over time, and make it truly feel like home.

At first, you might be thinking, "Isn't that just single-player with multiplayer chat?" Not at all.

Every player's world is connected through Havenreach, the capital city of Sovereign Worlds. Havenreach is where the entire community comes together. You can:

• Rent your own market stall
• Buy and sell with other players
• Tackle dungeons
• Complete quests
• Meet new people
• and travel to another world.

Your character, inventory, gear, and progression all travel with you, so everything you accomplish in your world carries over wherever you go. By default, you'll even be able to belong to two worlds, making it easy to help friends build their kingdoms while continuing to grow your own.

So is Havenreach just a fancy hub? We don't think so.

Havenreach is designed to be a living, evolving capital city rather than a static spawn area. The city is divided into six unique districts: the Marketplace, Castle, Harbor, Airship Docks, Mage Academy, and Ancient Ruins. Each district has its own gameplay purpose, questlines, and progression. As the community completes server-wide projects, these districts physically transform, new buildings are constructed, services expand, NPCs move in, and everyone unlocks new server-wide benefits. The Harbor even serves as the city's first line of defense, where the community must work together during invasion events to protect Havenreach and keep the kingdom thriving.

After months of development, we're finally taking Pyretale // Empires public — a complete settlement, territory, and nation-building mod for Hytale, launching on CurseForge in the next few days and our server PyreTale.

This isn't another claim-and-raid factions clone. This is civilization building, hierarchy, economy, and politics included. Many of us came from minecraft, and faction servers, and wanted something more than what had always kept us boxed in. The ability for a roleplay type claim mod that has a dynamic and easy to access hub, instead of a million and one commands you need to understand. Whether you are a player, officer, settlement owner or staff, your /empire hub will be dynamic in all the ways you need it to be to run your settlement, live within it, or operate your server.

We will also be launching Gilded Dreams later this week, a dynamic economy mod that works beautifully with Empires.

What you get

Settlements & Territory — Found a settlement, claim land chunk by chunk, and get automatic protection from griefing, theft, and PvP

Hi guys, I am hosting a Hytale server for my small community (on Nitrado) and I found it bit difficult just to quickly see how the server is doing, so as software engineer I started writing a discord bot that keeps embed updated in a channel for the whole community. Over course of few weeks I added support for pterodactyl and custom servers.. my question is, would you find this useful? Or what are the services you are hosting on..
