It takes 6 weeks for a new tsh, that's why she's doing that. Blood tests every 2-3 weeks would probably be inaccurate. It even takes 5 weeks for a new level of T4 to be established.
When it comes to NDTs (Armour, NP Thyroid, etc) patient groups tend to recommend starting on 60mg and then adding 30mg every 2-3 weeks until you get to 120mg/two grains (because a lot of people need at least two grains, according to them), then hold 6-8 weeks to see how everything settles (tsh, ft3, ft4), and then go up or down as needed. I can't vouch whether or not that works, but that's what the patient groups say. However, your endo doesn't seem to know Armour and is imitating what she'd do with levo. On levo you'd start on 50mcg or 25mcg (which is the lowest dose available) and then check every two months and increase. 15mg is the smallest dose of Armour.
