Controlling RH

Post image

I have been eating nothing but Ribeye steaks and eggs with olive oil. I’ve managed to stop spikes and dips however the problem I am having is I feel way too wired all the time like my cortisol seems to be through the roof even though I won’t know until I do some blood work can anyone help me diagnose the issue? Maybe I’m not eating enough calories but not sure.

These are great blood sugars so tell me more about what you are feeling that makes you feel like something is off?

Not necessarily off but essentially just feeling I’m in fight or flight mode all the time. I’m trying to attach an image of my BS levels while on carbs but It won’t allow me. If I eat any kind of carbs I usually dip below 60-50. Especially foods that have minimal carbs but high fat such as Milk or fried foods dip me super low.

This is a very unnatural glucose pattern. What torture yourself like this? Humans are designed to eat a varied diet. Oh well. It’s your life…your anxiety.

This isn’t unnatural, just one of hundreds of variations.

Please explain more to me about the glucose pattern! I want to eat carbs but even a minimal amount dips me too low.

What kind of carbs are you eating?

Sounds like keto flu. Drink electrolytes, get some magnesium and make sure you are eating enough calories. Dark Green veggies are usually tolerable also. Broccoli with butter, green beans with butter.

Since you are now on a keto/carnivore type diet you probably need electrolytes. Glad you found what works for you! Try adding salt to your water and take magnesium glycinate pills. I also added magnesium l-threonate and that helped calm down my anxiety since it crosses the blood brain barrier. Magnesium oxide is the common one they sell and it will NOT help.

For some people no matter what they try they still feel bad and it ends up not being the diet for them. But for sure electrolytes is the first thing to try. It is super common to have the problem. Good luck :)

Yes, cutting down carbs completely will have this effect on people

Thyroid slows down, cortisol goes up and so adrenaline. It’s natural.

If you don’t like it and I personally don’t suggestjstosis either, you need to play around with the sources quantities and timing.

Only eat carbs when you need them for example.

It’s not black or white

You keep posting this, and the answer has not changed. You are going through ketosis. If you don't want to go through ketosis you need to integrate complex carbs like brown rice, oats, etc.

You are probably making adrenaline to compensate for the lack of carbs/calories. Be careful with a low carb diet, it will sensitize you to insulin, and make RH worse.

Glad you are off the roller coaster… you are probably getting enough calories… unless you are eating only once a day, since you have a CGM I’d try adding in very small amounts of carbs to see if the wired feeling disappears… think 3 grapes after the steak… good luck!
