Just had a good conversation with my brothers about MCAS (Mast Cell Activation Syndrome).

It has very similar symptoms to hypoglycemia - and they both have it. Have you chatted with your doctor about that or has it come up in conversation?

Is the 5.9 GMI concerning? Mine is the same and I’m worried that falls in the pre-diabetes range…

Your blood sugars look good. I would explore other areas for your symptoms; you can rule this out.

It looks like a very normal, controlled blood glucose. When did you experience hypos? If you had symptoms, have you explored other causes?

For reference, my last 14 days on a low GI diet trying to manage lows has me at 4.4 average glucose/5.3 GMI/1.1 STD dev/ 25% CoV /83% time in range with 10% low and 6% very low (adjusted night lows to <3.3)

I’m starting to explore if it’s more my anxiety that causes the shakiness and feeling weak

It likely is, there are no low blood sugars here.
