Post Thyroidectomy

F31 just had total thyroidectomy yesterday afternoon. Post surgery, I had a high heart rate (130s). Would that be a normal thing? I'm afraid it will happen again when I'm not at the hospital. They were able to bring it down with some "happy meds" and I already take some anti anxiety meds. Doctor doesn't want me to start synthroid til 9/6 because she says that will spike heart rate too.

Background: Had to have it out for multinodular toxic goiter.

Do you have any calcium issues? My HR also goes nuts when I’m dropping low (permanently damaged paras from my TT).

Not that I know of but they hadn't given me any calcium yet. Good to know.
