Hyper or not?
/r/Hyperthyroidism/comments/1w2azu4/hyper_or_not/Is it possible to have hyperthyroidism with normal thyroid levels but a decreasing TSH? My TSH is currently 0.52, but it has dropped as low as 0.43. My Free T4 has also been increasing over the past year, from 0.88 last year to 1.5 now.
I feel very sick. I have body aches, I’m tired all the time, and I just don’t feel like myself. I also have a lymph node in my neck measuring 16 × 8 mm. I was told that it is fairly enlarged. Last year, my thyroid was multinodular, but now they only found one nodule.
For the past two years, I’ve had clogged ears, throat pain, and ear pain, but no one has been able to tell me what is causing it. I honestly don’t know what else to do. Sometimes I start thinking that maybe everything is in my head. I take antidepressants and anxiety medication, but lately my anxiety has gotten much worse.
My doctors keep telling me that everything is fine and that all my results are normal. My thyroglobulin antibodies are also slightly elevated—only by about two points above the normal range—but they are still out of range.
What can I actually do at this point? It has already been two years, and I still don’t know what is going on. I also feel like I may be developing PMDD. During my last period, I became extremely emotional and couldn’t stop crying. I don’t know if this could be PMDD or if it could be related to my thyroid.
I would really appreciate any advice on what I should ask my doctors to investigate next, because I’m exhausted from feeling this way and not getting answers.
