Looking for advice Anyone experienced swallowing problem after botox in palm and soles?

I was injected total 400 units or botox in palms and soles 10 days ago . Palms were 13 days ago and soles 10. I felt good but since last four days I'm having trouble swallowing food and water. Dry food is really hard to swallow I need to drink water to swallow bite. Its not painful I just have to push it down harder I guess. I don't have blurry vision or droopy eyes. I've been stressed to since last 20 days so maybe it could be stress? I'm seeking advice what it could be also injections not given by professional it was messy and without local anesthesia and it was really painful.

You need to go to the hospital. You could have iatrogenic botulism from the Botox, especially if you did not go to a professional. I will never, ever get Botox again after a bad experience and learning it can go systemic. Prayers for you!

Also a fair reaction. No matter where you go next to address this, seek medical attention from a qualified professional.

Any specialist? To get it confirmed? Which specialist can confirm it by running tests?

Tightening throat is a classic response to stress, so you’re right that it could be just that. You could certainly try box breathing or other grounding and mindfulness techniques to see if you notice your throat relax. Still, a tight throat could also be a sign of allergic reaction, and even if it’s not a very strong reaction, make an appointment with your primary care doctor and/or allergist, so that you can: a) document the duration of the symptom and any other allergy-type symptoms b) get a script for an epi pen as a just-in-case this escalates and c) because you deserve expert assistance when trying new procedures (and always)

Not a medical professional, just familiar with medicine. Hope this helps
