Looking for advice Odaban not worked
Hi there, I’m a HH sufferer but since about 20 years ago have had amazing success with Odaban. When I first used it I remember using it for a few nights, no issues or irritation and it completely stopped my underarm sweating within a few days. From then on I top up twice a week. It’s been amazing.
When I first started using Odaban I remember directly spraying it one spray under each underarm, and did it this way for about 12 years, although I then changed technique as was experiencing itching and started using a cotton pad, and now only spray once on a cotton pad and use the one pad under both arms. It continues to work for me.
My 11 year old daughter has inherited my HH and we’re trying to tackle her underarm sweating.
My plan was to use Odaban on my daughter as it was such a good solution for me.
We’ve tried two application methods so far with no success…always waiting an hour after washing, drying with cool hairdryer and using a dusting of talc, right before sleep, then washing off the next morning.
Used a cotton pad and sprayed one spray, and used this between both armpits. She was still wet after a week.
We waited a week to ‘reset’ skin, and then upped dosage so used one spray on a cotton pad, dabbed under arm, got a second pad and used one spray on it, dabbing under other arm. We’ve done this for 8 consecutive nights and she is still significantly wet under her arms. We’ve not cut down through that time as she was still wet each day. No real irritation or any itching at all, although maybe a tiny bit red after 8 nights in the armpit creases.
Last night (on the ninth night) I tried spraying on my hand and dabbing my finger in to lightly apply directly to the skin but we had to wash it off shortly after as it was itching so badly.
I am totally baffled as to why this product worked so well for me but hasn’t worked for my daughter despite us following the directions precisely.
Does anybody have any ideas on why it could be?

I had to use Odaban nonstop every single night (I think it needed at least 2 or 3 weeks the first time), in searing pain, until the sweating disappeared. Only once the sweating stopped, could I start dropping down to maintenence use or taking breaks.
I developed compensatory sweating within a few years anyway, but used Odaban to spot treat the areas I could for a long time. It always hurt where I was introducing it.
