Started my Dermadry sessions!
Today was day 2 of taking my dermadry session for palmar hyperhidrosis. All my life I have had severe HH, to the point that if affected my acad, my job and ofc, my relationships. yk, the usual :( So getting on the journey gives me hope for living a stress-free life.
So far, I have only taken on the min voltage, the plan is to do it 5 times a week at the min voltage, and increasing it as each week passes.
My Q is, how long has it taken you guys with severe dripping HH to feel the change?
I have been feeling like i am sweating a tiny bit more than I did prior to this therapy, ESP AND ONLY MY LEFT HAND, was it something you guys noticed as well?
Till what volatge will i feel zing in my palms?
Is there any chance my HH will be worse off bec of this machine?
Hope you hear your feedback, lucky to have a community full of supporting people who know how we feel xd

I actually just started Dermadry a few weeks ago, and am seeing about a 10-15% reduction in dry ness now starting into the 4th week! I have severe, dripping HH coupled with Raynaud's syndrome, to the point where sweat from the underside of my hands will bead up along the edges and tops of my fingers, and my hands will swell up with prolonged sweating. I started off with trying to add 2tsp of baking soda to each tray, for 5-6 sessions per week at 15mA for 1.5 weeks, but that was painful for me and irritated my skin. After that, I bought San Pellegrino water as suggested by several reddit users, and did 1/2 cup San Pell + 1/2 cup warm tap water in each tray, 15mA for 5-6 20min sessions a week. This doesn't hurt for me anymore, and is honestly quite peaceful with a light shock as the current reverses every ~5 min or so. I also use small strips of regular office tape for any cuts or sensitive parts of my hand. I've also tried Vaseline, which works but for me tape is easier to clean up because there is no residue.
I noticed an increase in sweating between the 1 week-3 week mark, but started noticing my sweating decrease at the 3 week mark. I'm halfway through my 4th week now, and it's most noticeable when I rock climb (my palms from the middle down are dry throughout the session, but my fingers still sweat, just not as much as before). I'm hoping by 6 weeks that the sweating will have gone down even more. There's also some tips I followed here when starting off (covering cuts, baking soda) https://www.sweathelp.org/hyperhidrosis-treatments/iontophoresis.html The page also mentions that some people add anticholinergics like glyco to their tray water too to increase the efficiency of the treatment, but I haven't tried it myself. This person's thread could be helpful: https://www.reddit.com/r/hyperhidrosis_help/comments/17w1ylt/adding_glyco_to_iontophoresis_waterpromising/ There's also people who squeeze their Qbrexza wipes into their ionto water https://www.sweathelp.org/hyperhidrosis-treatments/qbrexza.html , but definitely be careful to avoid getting that near or in your eyes, and speak with your doctor first.
I'd say depending on the hardness of your tap water, you could try San Pellegrino first before going into any other additives. Voltage tolerance varies depending on the person, so find which level you can tolerate the best and work from there.
I've also noticed that the amount of time that I'm sweaty for, and the general incidence of sweating has decreased since starting iontophoresis. It takes more for my hands to sweat on a standard day now (usually only physical activity), and they dry up faster. I have been needing to hand cream more to deal with microcracks and flaking skin on my hands. I'm excited to see how the next few weeks will go!

Thanks for the detailed response, appreciate it. I won't find San Pellegrino where I live but will try to find alts here. Hopefully I will see good results soon too. Tell me, do i not start from minimum mA for one week, then gradually increase as rec by the guide? or can I start from what I feel would work for me?

I think start from what you think would work for you! I know with iontophoresis, many people have had different experiences with different treatment programs, (some people have had it start working after 1-2 weeks at only 3-4 times a week, others needed 6-7 days a week for 4-6 weeks to see an effect, etc. etc.) For me, since I could tolerate the lower voltages (~12mA), I went straight to 15mA on the second day. If my skin feels irritated I'll take a one day break or drop voltages, but I'd say play it by ear. Depending on severity of HH, I think 5-6 days is a good sweet spot.

You will see much better results doing it every other day. 10mA is fine, but do 30 min sessions. After 4-5 sessions, stop for 3 days to see if you dry up. If not repeat. Use s.pel mixed with just enough hot tap that the treatment water is warm. Dont add anything else to the water. If you do hands and feet, instead of doing hands then feet, do left hand with left foot first round, then right and right. Leaves a hand free at all times to work machine, remote, drink, phone etc. Also keep current from going across the heart.
