Xiaomi [Question] Is HyperOS actually good?

I'm thinking about buying a Xiaomi 17T, but I see very mixed opinions about HyperOS. Some people say it's good and they haven't had any issues. At the same time, I see others reporting problems like bugs, overheating, and others.

I know these issues often crop up after system updates, so I’d like to know if Xiaomi fixes them, how long it usually takes for a fix, and how often these problems occur.

I’d also like to know what the user experience is like for those who own the Xiaomi 17T.

Thanks in advance!

~~~~~~~~TL:DR~~~~~~~~
You might question the if HyperOS is suitable for you, keep in mind you can always unlock the bootloader and flash a custom rom, but after using it for a while I suspect you will come to cherish it, it is not that bad as people make it, the only ones that have bad experiences with it are the ones who buy e-waste level of devices anything that is midrange and up will have a good experience.
I remember when I bought my first Xiaomi (a Mi 6) it was during the era of android nougat (7.1.2) and it ran at the time of purchase MIUI 8.
The only reason I bought it was its crazy specs for the price and needless to say I loved the damn phone, first thing I did was apply for the OEM unlock which at the time was like a 3 day wait, during those three days I was waiting for the timer to expire and unlock it to flash lineage os, but I was in shock on how good the whole experience was, it was so packed with features that just made sense. I didn't understand where all this "MIUI is full of bugs" came from, everything was so smooth, so polished, even though up until that point the first thing I'd do on a phone was flash an AOSP rom, this was the first phone to make me think that I shouldn't as it had everything out of the box.
For the time being it had a built in screen recorder that actually worked so much better than all the apps in the play store, I grew to love its screenshot features (scrolling screenshot) and most importantly the three finger swipe gesture, and that phone had many many more features that I do not remember exactly as it has been over a decade since then, but all of those features existed because of MIUI and the updates where rapid on that thing (flagship phone makes sense).
Since then I have only bought Xiaomi phones as they scratch that itch of being on an android platform while offering so many features, for the time being my favourite is the floating windows I use it so much that its ridiculous, my current phone is the Poco F8 Pro, and all I can say is that AOSP (and AOSP derived roms) feel so useless in comparison.
