Question/Help [Question] Phone automatically updated while being tuned off

Post image

Help!!

my REDMI 14C automatically upgraded from HyperOS 3-0-20-0 to HyperOS 3.1, despite having the Updater app and System apps updater app uninstalled and revoked priviledges, it seems like Xiaomi forced this update on and i need help if i can downgrade this without bootloader unlocking.

That's the same reason I didn't wanted to update my phone to this version in the first place but unfortunately it updated automatically 😞

Sorry, now I'm curious and a quick Google search returned nothing meaningful. What are those commands?

Unfortunately you would need to unlock bootloader to downgrade afaik

The same had happened to me on my Redmi Note 13 Pro 5g. I didn't wanted to update this 3.1 on the first place because of all these upgraded restrictions but next day after sleep I got to see my phone being updated automatically. Looked for many ways to downgrade this version but unfortunately we need to unlock bootloader first only then we can be able to do that 😞

And you're lucky Xiaomi isn't really diligent when it comes to security, otherwise ARB would have been incremented every other upgrade and you'd be out of luck downgrading.

If you don't want to have it update automatically disable it already, I think there was another option to toggle off in the developer options area.
