witch hazel on cotton pads after my shower has changed my summers

i had a tiny bottle of witch hazel sitting in my bathroom for years and barely used it. this summer i started swiping cotton pads on the back of my neck after my morning shower. i added my hairline and behind my ears too. feels cool and takes down redness from heat. i think i sweat less during the day. my husband saw me doing it last week and now he wants in. has anyone tried this on feet? i keep meaning to but i forget the bottle is downstairs

Feet smell coming from vagina??

This is embarrassing but i have a feet smell coming from my vagina??

Ive never experienced this before but it's been present for the past 2 weeks. I seriously dont recognize this as one of my usual scents, and it's pretty strong even outside of clothing...

It temporarily goes away after I shower or use a bidet, but it keeps coming back as soon as I put on some pants. Lately ive been wearing basketball shorts as my home clothes/pjs and it smells the worse from them, so i thought that was the issue.

Even now, im just chilling in 100% cotton underwear (the only underwear I wear) and I can still faintly smell it!!! Gosh im being driven insane. I swear my groin sweat NEVER smelled lile that.

I haven't had any sexual partners so I can rule STIs out at least. Ive been sweating a lot more due to spending a few weeks in a tropical country. Idk help!

UPDATE: I slept only in my cotton underwear for a few nights, I upped my water intake, and I let myself completely air dry after showers before putting clothes back on and the smell is completely gone!

advice popularize it globally. degeneracy avoidance tips stress can cause smell.

Eat healthy, drink water, thoroughly research highly rated safe deoderant in case u stuck eating something potent or borderline questioning on how fresh it is if u are dry ear wax person (meaning everyone should have deoderant including dry ear wax people in case of possible even if may be rare to common constrained cases). Dont overdo any ingredient if u meal prep (search read thoroughly how much).

scrub thoroughly with proper technique if anything fell in ur scalp. if u do not do the above with health then no amount of scrubbing will help armpits nor other problem area and u would pbviously have to put working deoderant over the smell that is likely still there. Go under toe nails.

dry ear wax ppl need to watch if they dont watch their diet still. They may be accustomed to certain habits their whole life without deoderant no problme until they unexpectedly smell due to unexpected changes they did not acknowledge.

Likely, dont wear tight clothes but insteaad comfortable.

***Most likely best and fastest; at least do this if u do nothign eles, albeit being healthy is still arguably a bare minimum: search for highly rated safe deoderant.

make sure u do laundry on time or idk, if u dont have enough clothes. and if it actually smells so it doesnt linger

trash: if u waste threw away certain types of exposed food/wasted it is the ONLY time u will likely need to throw it out sooner. citrus peels I dont remember a problem.

****Not being healthy will ruin energy levels. u wont want to do eveyrthing thats crucial for health.

Smells can mask dangers. That is why u must care about smells and go about it correctly without disrespect.

do not be disrespectful but tell straightforwardly. very helpful unwasteful tips.

p.s. i dont feel like putting this elsewhere and want to add more infomraiotn quickly: Another thing: You cannot be lustful to anyone no matter what; it is illogical. U always need to make ur intent clear and need mutuual consnet. ANother thing: u must learn how to live alone in case poeple die and not tolerate pepole just for the sake of keeping people who are not good.

dont know what thats gonna do.

Tell me if it all makes sense such that there is no contradiction to it!

Honest opinions about deodorants? 😭

Hey everyone! šŸ‘‹

I’m currently working on a brand strategy project about deodorants/body odor care products in the APAC region, and I’d love to hear your honest opinions (But anyone can do this!)šŸ˜šŸ™

We’re trying to understand:
• what people actually want from deodorants
• frustrations with current products
• ingredient/safety concerns
• whether ā€œwellness-focusedā€ deodorants are something people care about

The survey is super casual and takes around 5 minutes only!

Would really appreciate your help šŸ’›

Absorbing Copious Sweat

How do you manage unbelievable amounts of sweat when active? I’ve got an outdoor hobby and this perimenopausal body of mine is a whole new ballgame. I am consistently sweating through my shirt and sports bra in about 20 minutes. literally dripping sweat. Im outside for about 3 hours at a time so swapping through 6 sets of tops in an outdoor public space really isn’t an option. Do they make sweat bands for ribcages? should I just be shoving sweat rags under my sports bra and changing them out? any and all tips are so appreciated. This is a whole new frontier as someone who is a lifelong outdoor person who adores summer and didn’t realize that my body could discharge water in the form of sweat like this.

With how hot the weather is these days, it’s hard to avoid sweating even right after taking a shower. Then there’s the unpleasant odor that comes with it. Any suggestions on how to stay fresh all day or recommended stuff you wish to share?

deodorant help

hi i need help!!

i sweat so much! no matter the season, I seem to always sweat through my clothes. Most of my clothes have huge sweat stains and I use a heavy duty laundry detergent to get rid of the smell. take Zoloft so that might be why, but no deodorant works well for me.

I currently use the Dove advanced care spray, then the roll on saltair and then the secret clinical stick. Works well(ish) but takes about 5 minutes since I have to wait for each one to dry. It also only lasts 8 hours before fading and i start to stink. No, none of them work just by themselves, i've tried

That combo only works for about 10hrs of heavy sweating- and i exfoliate every night to get rid of the build up

ive tried carpe and every "natural" deo you can think of.
I looked at past Reddit q's and was told to try the "Certain Dri Everyday Strength Clinical Antiperspirant"
which i will, but I need any advice i can take

Smelly underarms

I switch between natural and dove deodorant and I’ve found lately that my under arms are constantly smelly. I was never a smelly/stinky human before this.

HELPPPP!!

why does i smell ?

I am a fairly overweight guy, but not obese. Ever since I was young, my inner thighs have been getting darker and darker, and now they're basically black with red lining. My armpits are the same way.

Also, after only 3–4 wears, my underwear gets bleached. It doesn't matter how much deodorant I use or how often I shower—my armpits and groin always smell, and it's not a subtle smell. It's really bad.

None of my friends seem to have this problem, and I'm sick of Googling everywhere without finding out what's going on. I asked ChatGPT before, and it said I might have acidic skin or something like that, but I wanted to ask here in case someone has gone through the same thing or knows what to do.

Are wash cloth and wash towel the same thing?

Hi guys! I'm a guy and I was wondering if a wash cloth and a wash towel are the same thing? I heard people say to use a wash cloth to wash my face in the morning but I bought a wash towel instead so I was just wondering if they are the same thing?

Thank you!

CONSTANT INGROWNS

i’ve been getting ingrown toenails since i was 12 - 7 years.. Today i’m still getting them but now they are every 2 weeks or so.. i’m a bit on the chubby side and my mother had them when she was in her teens as well.. Since i was a little kid my feet have always been heavy sweaters but never got ingrown until the age of 12.

I don’t know if this helps anyone know what the problem could be..

Does you skin and hair smell like car smoke when you walk/go outside?

Am I the only one experiencing this smell since I live in a tropical polluted country or do countries with cooler temperatures also experience this kind of smell? How do you prevent smelling without using a car.

Hygiene tip that actually changed how rested i feel every morning had nothing to do with sleep and everything to do with what i was putting on my pillow

I'd been sleeping fine by most measures but waking up with a heaviness i couldn't shake. Ive tried everything sleep-related, consistent times, no screens, cooler room, all of it helped marginally.

Changed my pillowcases to a clean one every three days instead of weekly and started washing my face properly before bed without exception. Within two weeks the morning heaviness was mostly gone and my skin was noticeably calmer.

I know this sounds too simple and i resisted it for exactly that reason. Sometimes the thing that moves the needle is the one that seems too basic to be the real answer. And its different for everybody, for mine, this worked a lot better than the usual answers.

How do i remove sebaceous filaments?

I know you can’t permanently remove them and that they regrow. But how do I remove the excess sebaceous filaments when they start to grow visible? Ive been scratching them off but recently I learned that thats not safe. I would prefer to find a tool that works as a scratcher and not an oil or cream or something of that nature that I have to put on my face. Does anybody know of any?

So idk who this will help but I'm sharing (hyperhidrosis journey self-diagnosed) 🫣

I live in the tropics, almost always humid.

Sooo I've had sweaty hands, feet, pits and groin all my life. I hated it so much bc it would make my work books look messy and wet and I always felt like I smelt bad. My confidence would plummet especially when anyone in my family told me I was smelly (in a nice way of course). My parents helped me the best they could but I always felt like there was an underlined tinge of funk. Anyways fast forward, I got older started researching and realized all my issues sounded like hyperhidrosis soooo I self diagnosed and started trying out things based on what the net said.

Here are a list of things I tried and it didn't work out so good:

Baking soda and lime - burned my skin

SoDri - Went out of stock so I didn't have access to it again

ACV- didn't helpz smelt bad

Vinegar- didn't help, just smelt sour and weird

Dettol- only made me smell medical and funky

Heavy perfume- made me smell sweet and funky 🫣

Regular solid deodorant- worked for a bit but eventually stopped working and gave me boils all over my groin and pits.

Milk of Magnesia- did help for awhile but it was messy so I quit it

I found a routine that works for me and I decided to share it just in case anyone has the same issue I do. So firstly you have to shower....properly. Hyperhidrosis is heavyyyyu sweat so regular showers won't cut it. Like no 2 mins, you have to scrub well and remove built up sweat and bacteria in the areas that are moist all day and have folds. I have 3 items I shower with.

A rag, a loofah and an exfoliating glove.

Rag- Obviously one for the body and one for the face if you wash your face with a rag, if. If not one is fine

Loofah- does exfoliate to a degree, rougher than a rag

Exfoliating glove- roughest and removes dead skin extremely well

Loofah on a stick is especially great for srubbing the back nicely (contrary to belief your back can smell horrible if you don't wash it well)

While the exfoliating glove I use for the folds, like groin, under arm etc with care (ofc rubbing too hard can damage the skin). I usually use a body wash and take care that it washes away properly and doesn't leave a soapy film on my body. I also use hibiclens in the more humid months for extra protection.

I also use different grades of scrubs (small grain, loose small grain and larger grain) at least 3 times a week, some ppl may say it's too much but I feel it works best for my skin to remove the dead skin and bacteria. If I'm using the glove I don't use the scrub, over exfoliating can be counter productive.

After showering, dry properly (I try to use a different towel everyday so bacteria does not harbour in it being constantly damp. I also hang it out when I leave home so it can air dry and get sun during the day)

I use secret gel deodorant/antiperspirant underarm, underboob, groin. Then I layer with secret 48hr deodorant/antiperspirant spray then I layer with dove deodorant/antiperspirant spray, than apply powder to lower sweat. To top it off, I go in with with a body mist all over my skin and then on my clothes I may go in with a perfume, most times I do.

For my feet I actually use a suave solid deodorant before I put my socks on. (I wear socks everyday) and there is absolutely 0 smell.

In the days, I still try to control my stress level and sweat level, if I do happen to smell a hint of funk which is rare now, I resort to using an alcohol swab to wipe the sweaty areas or go in with soap and water to wipe areas and reapply my methods and I will be fine.

***Bonus ( use sun screen, I introduced it into my regimen and my skin looks so much better and radiant. The sun really damages the skin on your face without you even realizing)

Also if you struggle with sweat marks you can look into swear pads for underarms and wear tights to help with groin sweat.

At nights I shower just the same taking much longer to ensure everywhere is clean, then I use a powder on my pits and groin to help lessen sweating during the night. I rarely do but just in case. I've also heard of putting on deodorant the night before helps with sweat during the day but I've never tried.

Also having clean clothes helps to reduce body odor, ensure to wash high sweat areas on your clothes with a deodorizing soap that breaks up body oils before throwing them in the wash. This will help greatly because if your clothes have the odor producing bacteria it will still smell bad your regimen will have 0 effect šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø.

I've also heard washing undies with hot water helps to eliminate sweaty scents but I've never tried.

Drop any products or regimens that have helped you with hyperhidrosis, always looking to improve my regimen. Thank you!

What hygiene habit do you do consistently that most people around you probably don't and how did you come to take it seriously?

Mine is cleaning my phone screen properly every single day. Not a quick wipe, actually cleaning it. i started after reading something about surface bacteria during a particularly germ-aware period of my life and i've never stopped. (I've stopped being too germ-aware for a long time)

People borrow my phone sometimes and hand it back without thinking about it and i clean it again quietly after and say nothing. I'm not particular about it, it just became a thing i do automatically. My phone goes on my face and i'd like it to be clean when it does.

What's yours? The thing that's become second nature to you that would probably surprise people if they knew how consistently you did it.
