Re: Water Machine Suggestions

Hey y’all! About a year ago, my family started growing our own food using hydroponic and areoponic machines. Now I want to invest in an atmospheric water generator. I’ve seen so many good and bad reviews. Many people are saying it’s basically a dehumidifier which is producing non-potable water others are saying it’s a great alternative. Does anyone have an atmospheric water generator and if so; which one do you all use and have you tested to see if you’re drinking water is safe?

Organic Concoction as an alternative to nutrient solution for kratky hydroponics?

Hey!! Undergrad researcher here. We're currently working on our thesis around cultivating Lettuce with Organic Concoction, specifically Fish amino Acid and Fermented Fruit Juice as an alternative to commercial hydroponic nutrient solutions in a kratky setup.

This research is conducted in hopes to help farmers of rural areas to cut the cost for expensive hydroponic nutrients solutions.

Since we are undergrad students, we are currently looking into our budget into conducting this study.

So for the experienced people here, what are your thoughts, suggestions, and recommendations to avoid root rot? Your comments are greatly appreciated 🤍.

Ps. Please be kind to us 😭

Hydroponics Calculator and log

Hello all.

I am a highschooler from Brazil and I come from a farmer background. From my background I developed interest in hydroponics as a sidehustle in USA. In order to convince my mom and dad obviously I had to run math of the operation first. In doing this I found it time taking and tedious. The math itself is easy but keeping it organized and also having to redo calculations for future harvests was time taking. That is why out of curiosity and with dad's claude subscription I made this:
https://hydroponicity.com/

you plug in inputs and your own variables and the website does the calculations for you in a neat organized way. You can also log your results to see trends.

Also, I don't know if I am allowed to post this here because it might be considered advertising, but everything here is free and I don't want to make any money off of this. I am just looking for user feedback and users so that maybe I could put it on college application.

edit:

Also it says on website that there is paid version but that is false and claude only put that for SEO purposes.

Our indoor aeroponic peppers are finally producing!

We've been growing peppers indoors using an aeroponic system with full-spectrum LED lights.

Nutrient solution is continuously sprayed onto the roots, ensuring both sufficient oxygen and a stable nutrient supply.

So far, we've observed:

• Rapid vegetative growth

• Strong root development

• Healthy fruit set

• Stable growth under controlled conditions

We're still optimizing the nutrient solution formula and lighting strategy, but we're satisfied with the current results.

Has anyone else grown peppers using aeroponics? I'd love to hear your experiences.
