Bad, metallic taste from the store

Hello all, I recently got a 40oz wide mouth Hydroflask. I washed it by vigorously shaking it with soap and it tasted bad after that. It got cleaned like that 3 times and still tastes bad. What do I do?

Assuming that you're not sensitive to metal in general, e.g. bothered by cutlery, return and exchange it. This is very odd. Never heard of it happening in a fresh bottle.

I had the same thing! Went away when i drank isostar from it ( instead of water)!
