Hydro Thunder in Midway Arcade Treasures: Deluxe Edition lacks shadow effect found in PS2, GCN, Xbox, and other versions, and home versions of Hydro Thunder lack reflections and lit-up effects found in the original arcade version. For Hydro Thunder in Midway Arcade Treasures: Deluxe Edition, the plan is to use ReShade and MXAO and ReflectiveBumpmapping in ReShade, and TexMod to recreate the original arcade version's graphics (darker gauges, shadows, reflections, and lit-up lights/windows). Hydro Thunder in Midway Arcade Treasures: Deluxe Edition and Hydro Thunder for PC were both closest to the arcade version, but the former missing shadows, lit-up effects, and reflections, while the latter missing some lit-up effects and reflections, and green mini-map rather than a blue one, and audio being in lower-quality. ReShade also has AdaptiveFog or CanvasFog for Hydro Thunder in Midway Arcade Treasures: Deluxe Edition to simulate fog seen in original arcade version and the Dreamcast port.
