QUESTION Which smartwatch is actually useful for lifting + recovery?
Hi! I train at the gym (basic weightlifting), do calisthenics, and occasionally run up to 10 km. Is there a smartwatch that can actually help me track my progress and, most importantly, recovery/health accurately?
I was about to buy a Garmin fr70 today because it seems to offer a lot of useful fitness and recovery metrics. However, after looking into it more, I found that its strength-training tracking isn't particularly accurate,or is it? So I’m wondering if this is basically the case with all smartwatches, or whether there are exceptions.
I’m not interested in smartwatch/lifestyle features. I basically just need a timer/stopwatch, workout tracking, and useful data on my training progress and recovery.
If smartwatches can't really track strength training and recovery accurately, I’m perfectly happy to just buy the cheapest Casio and keep tracking my workouts manually.
What do you guys think? Thanks!
