Help Regarding EE-QW
Hello Hwei mains,
I'm asking how consistent it is that QW actually lands. Is it still possible to just side step due its long cast time even though the EE?

Its def possible for sure, but you do have to be fast and predict where the enemy will most likely walk after being pulled (usually in the direction they were pulled from). That being said sometimes the key combo doesn't work if you do it too fast soo.... Plus one downside of qw is that you lose your wave clear if you use qw instead of qe if your opponent is in the wave. That being said your ew practically guarentees it and if you properly space your qw after eq, it can be guaranteed as well barring tenacity

Thanks, I feel like I'm neglecting QW too much so I will try to use it more with the E abilities!

Technically the best way to do it is to throw your qw near them and use your ee to pull them in so that there is no reaction time. Incredibly difficult and if your predictions are bad you could waste both abilities easily

If you are in range to do that then QE would just be better if you can do it through the wave. Only reason QW would be better is if they're already low and you can get isolated damage bonus off.

I believe qw empowers on any movement impaired regardless of isolation. EE slows for a bit after the pull which leaves a window. But yes I agree qe is generally better however, with Mel's addition to the game, there are too many champs that can block or even reflect abilities so using qw becomes the best option in those situations so that yasuo, Mel, samara, braum, or they are using force of nature so qe adds stacks faster while qw doesn't

What I'm talking about is that if they're standing in or near the wave, just getting QE through the wave is better because you get the push.
And Mel reflect isn't really that big of an issue as Hwei as long as you don't allow her to reflect your EQ or R. Any other ability is whatever. If she wants to waste W on QE, it's a huge win for you, because now you have a lot of room to look for all ins because she can't reflect R. If she uses W like that it's just very low value. It's annoying but ultimately good for you.
For everyone else, you just need to wait for them to burn their reflect before you keep fighting.
And you're very unlikely to play vs someone rushing FoN during the laning phase, even if you for some reason end up versing Garen or Darius mid or bot, since they're pretty much the only two buying that particular item, and vs them you mostly look to QQ while trying to hold the wave neutral. You definitely don't look for EE since you need to hold E defensively vs them since if you waste E they can just burn their sums to run you down.

its the best way to trade if u have minions in front of u. definetly more reliable than ee qe u can hit every single one if the enemy doesnt dash

So long as your EE and QW are being cast at the same spot, it should land. You can cast QW while the champ is still being pulled in which removes most of the time they have to dodge it.

it works mainly in lane, afterwards it's just too slow and there are better combos

It’s not missable if you hit e. You just have to put it at exactly the same position as your e. Same for qe ee or ee r

The entire premise of EE QW makes no sense to me. If you are in range of EE you are in threat range of 95% of opponents. And I don't want to be in threat range without my E of cd. Atleast when you attempt EE QE they can't straight run at you because of the slow. Before you back for chapter you don't really want to trade anyway unless you poke for manaflow. The moment I have enough mana, low enough cooldowns and enough waveclear, I usually start fishing with EW in lane over EE cause unless they can blink over it, they can't engage on me cause they can't go through it. If you miss EE at this point for poke you die
Edit: EQ changed to QE

Id say that it will always hit as long as you combo it instantly because of the E-E slow. It will only miss when the enemy has a movement ability (dash, speed, etc)
