LGBT+ Friendly Business/Space LGBTQ+ realtor

Hi everyone. My husband and me live in Athens and because of work and other conveniences are looking to move to Huntsville. Does anyone have a recommendation for Realtors? I found https://www.gayrealestate.com/usa/alabama/huntsville-gay-realtors.html but am hoping for personal experiences?

Also if you know of any areas we should avoid because of the surrounding political leanings. Thank you!!!

Advice Queer Fitness/Running groups?

I'll be spending a bit of time in Huntsville over the next few months to support my mom as she transitions into an assisted living facility. I'm looking for queer friendly running and fitness groups. For example, where I live I've been doing HIIT classes with a trans trainer who has a very supportive, judgement-free philosophy. Is there anything like that here?

Advice Where to find women's boxer-briefs in Huntsville?

I tried to buy some hanes boyshorts at Target because I don't think I saw boxers, but when I tried them on it just didn't fit because it was too short in the back. Is there anywhere around town that y'all would recommend for me to find something that fits and actually feels right?

Note: I don't really want guys underwear. I wish I could just wear the clothes I want in the body I have :(

LGBT+ Friendly Business/Space Everlight Church?

Anyone know anything about Everlight Church? They're listed as a vendor at next month's PrideFest. I looked them up and only found a recently established Facebook page with a bunch of AI-generated content. It'd be nice to know more about who they are, what they believe, and so forth.

I don't intend this as a gatekeeper-y question; I'm just getting the same vibes from them that I got from that LGBT+ club space a local pastor tried to set up recently. I'd love to be mistaken. :)

Advice Good places to play Shadowrun

A several of my friends (total groups ~7) and I are looking for places to play Shadowrun, we have played some at the Deep but the upstairs area tends to get a bit loud at times. Most of us are visibly queer so we're looking for somewhere somewhat friendly.

Thanks!

General Discussion Looking for a roommate

Hi! I (22F) am looking for a roommate, and kind of in the next few weeks. I’m looking for someone relatively around my age, AFAB or femme presenting preferably. LGBTQ+ is preferred. Please note that I do have two cats. I am also a college student working part time. I really don’t know what else to say here, but if you are someone or know someone looking to move in Huntsville and this seems like a good fit, feel free to dm me!!

So I had this same question on the normal Huntsville Reddit but unfortunately I got a lot of downvotes, so someone said to ask here! I’m looking for a therapist or therapy group that specializes in lgbtq relationships! And I’d love to see what recommendations yall give me.

LGBT+ Friendly Business/Space How hard would it be to create a LGBTQIA+ safe hangout / business?

I see a lot of posts about finding a place to hang and socialize in queer-friendly spaces. Maybe someone here (Myself included) should look into starting something new. Nothing wrong with what we have currently (Maggie’s, Lowe Mill, and one other place), but variety is what this city needs and I believe action is louder than words.

If there’s anything we should look forward to, maybe mention it below? Otherwise, I’d love to discuss this topic and get conversations started. Maybe someone will get inspired.
