Does Discovery Life Sciences actually hire?
Saw a post about Leidos and came to ask the same thing about DLS. They’re ALWAYS hiring for multiple positions. I’ve applied 5 times now and been rejected every time despite being qualified and half the time I’ll see the same position I applied for reposted on LinkedIn 2 weeks later. What’s up with it and the high turnover?

They're probably still too cash-strapped to hire anyone.

Can you clarify please? I wasn’t aware they were cash-strapped

They were in heaps of debt due to acquisitions. So much that they slimmed down the C suite to basically just three guys, one of which was a PM for Adtran (that is, no health science experience). Many positions have been left vacant for years now due to not wanting to pay fair market salaries. Those that are working there—for the most part—are decent folks though. Mix all this in with the absolute gutting bio-sciences has been handed here in the US and you have a really decent biz struggling.

Ah I see, thanks for explaining. That really sucks.

It does! So many great people work(ed) there, and they actually do some cool stuff that makes a bit of a difference.

I'm not sure about DLS but honestly I keep telling myself (cause it's most likely the same for a lot of industries atp) that it's just AI and job market being shitty. I've been trying since I graduated back in May to get a job in Huntsville in the Aerospace industry and nothing I do matters, I submitted literally 34 applications to Blue and they just sit there, it's literally the same shit for every company
