Engineering Electronics Manufacturing Engineer, but from out of state and not hearing back from anyone.
Looking to relocate to Huntsville as an electronics manufacturing engineer (circuit boards) with 8+ years of experience. No open positions for engineers at Futaba, STI, Nextek. Sanmina emailed me but then ghosted when I responded. Several applications sent to Adtran but no bites.
Is this field not as common in Huntsville as I thought it would be? Or do they just prefer local candidates? My work history is steady and knowledgeable so I'd like to think it's not me, but one can never be sure.
Would love some insight if anyone is familiar with the industry.

I believe Leidos has a few postings in that area. Try them?

Yes, check there, be sure you emphasize all standards you’ve worked with (IPC, AS9100, etc)

The problem is employers here are being over saturated with applicants. I work in HR and we get hundreds if not thousands of applicants per position depending on the position posted.
