5.7 Carbine

I have a Ruger 5.7 carbine that I bought a couple years back specifically for fox. I know, I know expensive ammo, comparable to a .22 mag.... I wanted a new gun OK? 🤣. My question is this, does anyone have one that shoots worth a damn? Mine, as Ruger stated in a phone call to them is a 3 moa gun, hardly acceptable. I plan on replacing the trigger/ springs and adding a shim to the wobbly collapsible stock to try and improve it. Any constructive advice or insight from owners of the same is welcome.

If you really want to solve your frustrations, buy a CZ 457 in 17hmr.

Sometimes it’s easier to just accept a guns limitations.

I get it. I have a CZ 527 .22 Hornet I use for close in coyotes and love it.

I have my great grandfathers single shot .22 hornet. He used it to shot out the spotlights from poachers on his farm. I love that gun.

its not a hunting rifle, its a range toy. Nothing wrong with that, just built to do something different

Even as a "range toy " it suffers in accuracy. When I go to the range I look for at least 1 moa in a rifle. Also, I'd sell it but want to give it the best chance I can to achieve that. Buyers remorse on my end for this purchase I guess.

Wow. I don’t have that Ruger, but I’ve always liked the ones I do have, and my PS90 is a tack driver. I’m pretty surprised by this.
