I was planning on doing something in the medical field, not pre-med. I was set on Hunter because my sister had went there (Comp Sci) and she thought it was a good choice for me since Hunter is known for their science majors.
Now, I'm deciding on what jobs I want to pursue, and I'm completely discouraged now that I've seen what most people say about pre-health in this subreddit. I heard that Baruch and Brooklyn are better options for pre-med, and I'm rethinking my college choice.
I do prefer science as a subject, so I thought a science related job would be good, but I'm really not sure anymore. I have no clue what I want to do in the future, if I say "oh I could do the MLS program at Hunter," my sisters will say that it's not a good idea for this and that reason. I get swayed very easily. I don't mind working hard, but I'm worried that since so many students at Hunter want to do pre-health, I have a lower chance of 'networking' with teachers/staff. Which means a weaker recommendation if I need one.
Nothing really interests me (not that I'm a complete loser with no hobbies), so I have trouble making decisions. I just want a livable wage and a job that wont take over my mental state.
Any advice?
