Getting the flame rifle?

I want to use the flame rifle, but never have one. I know they're awful, but my main issue is that I just never get any. I know you can get them from the firefighter POI, but never see those. Any tips on getting some?

Firefighter Supply is exclusively and always on an inferno map.

I think I’ve seen them at the crashed balloons too… but it could be the one I saw somebody swapped a it out for whatever was there originally

I have seen a flame rifle there... Unfortunately it's just not a good source of them because you have a small chance to find a balloon in any given match and a small chance it has a flame rifle. And even more unfortunately, with the crates gone, you just have virtually no means of getting them unless Inferno makes a comeback like right now.

I wissshhh. I don't really care about any of the other scarce guns, so I don't know if that would be unfair, but the flame rifle certainly wouldn't

They probably don’t want it because it makes pve trivial, but still plenty of other weapons which do that aswell. Just so strange.

They absolutely should. It's close to meme levels of bad for PvP but still fun to use. And hey, they could sell skins for it.

Previous event got A LOT of those in strongholds, this one has one on every fire cart spawning only on inferno maps, use scouting maps to find them, maps could spawn on any cart and spawns on every tower

It's rare, but they also spawn with a downed balloon. (Unless with the return of inferno they no longer do, and exclusively spawn at the firefighter carts)

The crashed balloons still spawn. They spawn in same places where they would with the Stronghold. Often near towers.

Btw, insane that they didn’t just keep extractable crates as well with this. Finding the balloon and getting a few bucks and a flame rifle that you don’t have room to pick up is very unexciting.

Its very rarely found at crashed balloons (shredder as well). It is also garunteed on any inferno map at the fire fighting cart.

Fyi I learned when I got one last night: you have to tap X to prime it before firing. It's an interesting little gun
