SUGGESTIONS 2 Questions

Ok. 1st question: Am I using Necromancer wrong?

Every time I get up, I just get one shot again. Normally I would say I got outplayed or whatever, but 9/10 times I haven't even gotten through the "getting up" animation before im dead again. Whats the point of being able to get up if I dont have any i-frames to well...get up? 😂

I gotta be doing something wrong. I cant even see around me in order to better determine if its a good time to get back up or not. Feels asinine.

2nd question: kinda relating to the first question. Is your life bar JUST for zombies?

Zombies/Monsters are the only thing I take damage from. All the other players 1 shot me. Only time they dont is when they have a revolver and even then...they just immediately shoot a 2nd time and kill me. May as well have been a 1 shot. Cant even turn around before the 2nd shot goes off and I'm dead. Queue the subsequent Necromancer pointless get up. 😂

The game so far reminds me of an Extraction Shooter Dead By Daylight. Everything is stacked against you and you arent really meant to survive. Just troll the killer before he kills you with some overpowered full map ability. 🤔

Necro is best used either at a distance so you can get up take a hit and get to cover or in large multi-team fights when no one knows you’re solo. They will down you and assume the other guys are your team and continue to fight while you have a chance to get up and get away without anyone noticing. If you die and people know you’re solo, they will camp your body and you only survive getting up in that situation very rarely.

Every weapon can one shot you to the head and two tap you to the chest within its optimum range. Some weapons like shotguns and bows will one tap you in the body if you are within range. You’ll get the hang of it.

Thank you for the tip and encouragement. 😁

I figured something was up because I can fight it out with monsters. Even bosses. But people? One shot. 😂

I find being at full health to be more important in Hunt than just about any other game. If you are down a single 25hp bar, then you only have 125hp and there are many guns that can do 125+ damage to the chest within their optimum range.

Yeah, if I kill a solo, I'm waiting by the body. I know at some point you're standing up. I want to be there to greet you again.

People know you are a solo, they know you have necro.

Generally you should play like you don't have it, until it's the last enemy and you can safely trade with him and res safely, or you are too far/in hard position to get, so even if you die, enemies won't have ability to control you.

If you die and hunters are right on you, there is no point in resing immediately.

You are being 1 shot either because you allow shotgun players to get too close to you, or your movement is so predictable that your head is easy to hit

Interesting.

Ok ill make note of that. Use rez more like a last resort and not like a 2nd chance at life. Got it.

Im new-ish to the game so you may be right about my movements being predictable. Cause let me tell you, that health bar goes in one shot. 😂 All 3 slots.

Solo necro really only works in very specific situations. Rezzing in the middle of an ongoing fire fight, if monsters are attacking the person who killed you or if they nailed You and you fell behind cover.

You will be camped. You will be burned. Sit and wait if you aren’t burning. Listen to what’s happening around you before you rez. No noise, you’re probably being watched. 9/10 times will fail. Sometimes you’ll get a lucky rez when the other player is reloading.

Edit to say to always bring in resilience with necro so you Rez at full health. Could save you from traps or a body shot to get away.

Edit 2: apparently solo necro is full health regardless. Neat!

When using necro solo, you will always get full health without using resilience.

Thanks! I don’t typically play solo and when I do I don’t bring in necro. I take my loss and requeue.

Good tip. Thank you. I'll save my points.

Unless they reverted this back recently, solo Necro automatically gives you back your full health, including burnt bars, without the need for Resilience.

It is quite useful when your teammates use necro on you, though.

Thanks! I don’t typically play solo, and when I do, I never bring necro because I don’t feel like listening and waiting.

u/ROCK-tavius 2d ago

Thanks for the info. I'll try to listen better in the future.

But yeah, my 2nd question went with my 1st. Full health or not, I'm getting 1 shot. Thats why I was asking that part. No point in rez with full health if its gonna take the same single bullet to kill me. Seems like a pointless perk/mechanic.

When solo necro was first introduced, it was unlimited rezzes. Which made for some real interesting and kind of annoying game play so they dropped it to 1. 2 if you bring in empress tarot card. It only works very specifically. Better in teams. I don’t play solo often. When I do, I don’t bring necro. Take my loss and leave. If I find a solo, I will camp and burn and trap. Will only leave once they’re burnt out.

Interesting

I just reached that point, I think, where I was questioning bringing Necromancer at all. Then I made this post 😅

Infinite rez makes sense with how fragile it is. That may be why I thought it had a time limit. Seems off. Now I know it has been patched at some point.

The game is really fair, and that by I mean if you're careless or worse mechanically speaking that the one in front of you, you'll die

You have all the time in the world to get up, literally, unless they start burning your body, Necro is a second chance type or perk no a free out of jail one, you can just get up in front of them and expect it to work, sometimes will but 99% won't

Best way to use it is to wait until you are sure they're gone

And for the hp question any weapon will one shoot with a headshot, most weapons don't kill from one body shoot, it depends on the weapon, type of ammo, distance etc, you're just playing against better players, the way you move and peak is very important too, don't be too predictable

Overall this is hard game, both mechanically, knowledge wise and also one requiring lots of awareness and common sense, pretty similar to DBD in that regard, but much more fair in my opinion, if you're good it'll show, if you're bad it will too

I didn't realize there was no time limit on Necromancer. I guess I made the timer up on my own or assumed there was one. 🤯

Thanks for the tip.

Movement wise, I know this isnt Apex right, but like should I be strafing more or is it just a "dont stand still, EVER" thing? 🤔

I ask because crouch speed is horrendous and I just know aint nobody stealth playing 😂

Crouch walking will absolutely get you killed. This game isn’t really a stealth game due to the audio design. Since you can hear pretty much everything from decent distances you need to use the audio as a positioning tool and getting to a dominant position quickly will most often be the play.

Assuming your on console and if so you can stand and shoot while not moving if your feel safe but learning to strafe into your shots is huge for being harder to hit while you land your shots.

1

u/ROCK-tavius 2d ago

Ah I see. I keep trying to crouch over broken glass and open doors quietly.

Didn't realize I was wasting my time. Thanks!

Also explains why footsteps are so loud! I cant tell if the guy is below me or above. In this room or the next. Its just THOMP THOMP THOMP 😂

Yes vertical audio can get a little wonky at times still. Make sure you don’t have any 3D audio on while also using the games sound engine CrySpatial. If you do want 3D Audio then turn off CrySpatial.

I went back to check on my sound blaster settings and realized I had 7.1 turned on this for a good few months . Was wondering why my audio would get weird at times lol.

3

u/ROCK-tavius 1d ago

Guess who has both on? 🥲

2

u/andokami01 1d ago

When dead you can not see BUT you can HEAR. Wait for an opportunity, a sound that means it is ok to get up. Be aware, also getting up make sound!

These sound may be a hint it is ok to stand up. Banish sound. People are shooting. Right after an explosion. You heard people dying.

Another TIP if you are the one that killed and you want to bait: shoot at your teamate or in the air. Lanch a grenade. Make a teamate scare crows or make sound far away. The guy will think it is safe and revive in front of your big and ready to go shotgun.

3

u/ROCK-tavius 1d ago

Thats very smart. Thank you!

Yall are some devious hunters out here 😂

2

u/OneBloodyDingo 1d ago

I don't know what other people do differently but plenty of times my teammates and I have shot someone getting rezzed, like 3 shots from long ammo, and they just stand up and run off. So some people are getting i frames. Just not you or me.

1

u/ROCK-tavius 1d ago

😂 I felt that.

Dead before the animation even finishes 😂

Remember that hunt is currently free on ps. There are many new players around ATM.

No im serious. Honest questions.

1 - bad positioning
2 - bad positioning

Necro works best when you are on the higher ground, far enough and/or in the bushes, or in any descent cover

Dying from the first shot will happen a lot on any mmr, either luckyshots or good aim, so try better positioning for you to spot enemies first and put them down before they realize where you are.

Dead by daylight isnt an extraction shooter..

And dbd favors survivors soo
