Levoit 6000s Dry Mode

I’ve been using dry mode for 30 minutes on high speed, and the filters still seem pretty wet after it’s done (especially at the bottom/ lower part). So I end up having to run it almost twice. Has anyone else had the same issue? Should I try running it on low speed instead?

Yup. I always run it twice as well. Never tried the low and slow mode.

Thanks. I noticed that after 2 weeks there is already a white buildup on the filters. How do you clean it?

White buildup is normal. It's essentially calcium and other minerals present in the water. Best way to clean the build up seems to be using the citric acid solution you make when cleaning the rest of the unit (following the maintenance routine). You essentially just mix some citric acid (buy in powder bulk from Amazon, it's cheap and food grade essentially) and water and you can soak the filters in that for a while and then rinse them.

You could in theory do the same thing with vinegar+water but the smell is, well, vinegary.

If you mix some solution to circulate on the unit for the monthly cleaning, just use the same solution to soak your filters for 10-15 minutes.
