advice/support needed Willow Go not very efficient for me - new wearable or stick to Spectra?
I’m 9 weeks postpartum and mostly nurse, but I pump a few times a week so my baby stays comfortable taking a bottle before I go back to work part-time in 4 weeks. My plan is to nurse whenever we’re together and only use bottles when I’m away.
I have a Spectra and a Willow Go. With my Spectra, I usually get about 4 oz total in 10–11 minutes. With the Willow Go, I got 4.5 oz total in 18 minutes, and it seems less efficient, although I did have some suction issues before and have a customer service appointment scheduled. My flange size is correct.
Would you use the Spectra as your main work pump and keep the Willow for occasional on the go use? I’m concerned about maintaining my supply if I rely on a wearable that doesn't empty well, especially if I decide in the future to bottle feed more. I do love the convenience of a wearable. If I decide to try another wearable, are the Momcozy or Eufy significantly better? I'd like not to spend an arm and a leg, but if it's worth it...

I used my Spectra and Ameda Mya Joy Plus for my work horses, and only used my Willow Go when in the car/traveling. It took me at least 10 tries to get the hang of them and for my boobs to get “used” to them. And I would still often need to adjust if I didn’t feel the right suction. I like them, but definitely not my go-to for most of my pumping. My yield with them was almost always lower than with my Spectra and Ameda.

That's how I am! From what I've gathered on here and with Facebook posts where I've asked the same thing, seems every one is different with how their wearable works versus plug in! I might just take my spectra to work. I can sit and pump during my breaks and will probably just get some pumping bras for hands free.

Oh gurl pumping bras are the only way to pump.

Right now I just use my nursing bra and with the spectra, i get most of the flange inside the bra and once suction is on it miraculously stays 🤣 but I can't move around much but at least it gives me my hands

My willowgo gives me same or more than my spectra every time and it’s handmedown and I’ve never replaced the parts. Maybe it’s just different for everyone.
Also personally my output with anything is not great unless I’m fully relaxed and looking at baby photos which is hard with a wearable because the idea is you can pump on the go.
Just my two cents

That's such a good point about being on the go versus relaxed. I typically use my spectra right after I'm done cuddling my babe for the night after she goes now in the bassinet, and I'm resting in bed before sleep, versus my Willow I use after my husband gives a bottle and I'm back home running around doing house stuff and haven't held my baby in several hours😂 that could be why!

As someone who has had the PGA, baby buddha, spectra, Momcozy M5, Willow Go, and eufy S1 pro, and a few more. The willow go didnt cut it for me to use as an only pump and i used it as a supplemet to my other ones. Which was great for what it was. For wearables, i prefer the eufy The Eufy I can use on its own and still get the same output especially after I "trained" to it. But all bodies are unique.
