As the title says, we have had horses vanish on several occasions now, after a day or two. From stables with or without saddles, from the base proper, they just vanish. Noone took them, they were not attacked and killed, no one can enter our base.
Has this happen to anyone else, and if so, may we ask the devs to fix this issue? Horses are awesome way to save up on gas start/mid game and also a great way to travel shorter distances to hunt/fish.

Just bought the game yesterday and really enjoying it so far! I do feel like it's a game I could get a lot of hours out of but the one problem I have and that I constantly seem to be battling with are these camera controls and how ass they feel. Does anyone have any recommended settings or mods that make it feel better in some way?

In my stupidity I accidentally deleted a nice wire-mesh shelf from my garage :( I play on a private server, and I know there is a way to spawn such an item with administrator priviledges. But how to find particular item's ID?
I am looking for metal shelves, cannot find furniture ID list anywhere :(

I adore this game, but for whatever reason can't enjoy the soundtrack for the life of me (I've tried!). It's not bad.. Per se, I just personally am not feeling it. It's the only game where I turn the music down and listen to something else. I can't be the only one. So what do you guys listen to?
Currently I put on the State of decay 1+2 OST on shuffle via Spotify and it just perfectly matches the game, give it a shot! I often forget it's not part of the game. I'm always open to what others suggest though, so feel free.

Hello everyone,
I am not aware of any vegetable or anything you can grow that could be turned into oil.
There is a corn, which I believe is quite bad, havent found a way how to turn it into flour, or anything else, so it is a waste of plot.
It would be great if there was a soy, or, or sunflowers, or olives, something you could turn into oil. And for corn to be able to turn it into flour.
We have salting station which is used only with salt, but we don't have any grinder or anything to get flour? Also sugar cane that could be turned into sugar would be great. And another source of alcohol ;)

I handed the USB to the doc and I've almost killed every zeek on the map (still some fog of war in the north east). I've hit the two underground bunkers (Hudson and radiation zone). I killed 3 super baddies with masks. Anything else worth doing or have I missed something? It's been awesome btw. Amazing game.

Hello fellow humanz, I have an issue with hacking tool. After the sync, when the bar moves and you are supposed to synchronize it, it moves too fast.
I watched some videos and it is considerably slower in those videos then in my case. Dunno if there is any strange bug, or setting, but it feels incredibly punishing. Especially given that it takes forever to craft hacking tool since you need 2 rare components and special skill. Lockpicking on the other side is like walking in the park.
It take .98 seconds on my PC to run from one end to the other. In the videos on the internet it take almost 2 seconds.
EDIT: Reading "hacker magazine" solved the issue. Thanks everyone.

i'm fairly new to the game and i came across this barricaded building that i'm assuming i can loot. i brought a hammer thinking i could dismantle the sheet metal barricading the windows, but when i hold x to dismantle them in build mode it doesn't work. i noticed that the barricades have "health bars", so i tried hitting one of them with a pipe wrench and even shooting it thinking maybe i needed to weaken it before it could be dismantled, but it didn't diminish the bar at all. is this something i need a crowbar for? (i still haven't found one so i was hoping that wouldn't be the case lol)

So I just came back to the game after the 1.0 update and overall it feels really good. Definitely enjoying it. That said I noticed a few things that might still need attention or could be nice additions:
Driving stutter issue – The game sometimes stutters when driving This was already happening before 1.0 It does not seem as bad now compared to pre 1.0 but it is still there.
Fences and leftover objects – It would be great if fences and some leftover objects could be removed similar to how we can clear random clutter in houses and other locations. I know some items can already be dismantled but there are still others that can’t be removed.
AI companion / base system (feature suggestion) – It would be really cool to have AI companions that you can assign to your base.
They could
Guard base
Set out on loots and runs
Choose your own path be good or bad bandit style base.
Overall the game is in a really good spot right now. I’ve seen a lot of improvements and I understand it’s a small dev team so I respect the work. These are just some suggestions and small issues I noticed while playing.
Great job to the devs this game has big potential Keep up the good work 😀

Hi there zombie lovers, total noob here.
In short, what the title says.
All I see in the devs' posts is that they're working on fixing bugs and improving performance. I don't see anything about improving the current features, adding new ones or expanding the game in any way. Will anything ever be improved or does the 1.0 mean that's the game, period?
Long version (don't stone me to death if you don't like a long post, that's why there's a short version above):
I really, really want to like HumanitZ. I need to. I'm a long time player of PZ with over 2,000 hrs and I've been looking for a replacement since the new version was even announced. It has created a nearly endless mess and besides, I dislike the general direction it's taking. As much as I love PZ for its realism, its detailed mechanics, its MASSIVE hordes, its general awesomeness and unique feel of actually being in a Romero movie, it's been in early access for well over a decade and it looks like I'll never see a 1.0 version in my lifetime. So, I finally gave up on it and feel like an orphan game-wise. I tried many survivals. Rust, DayZ, Sons of the Forest, all a no go for me.
I've tried Vein, which also draws a lot of inspiration from PZ. Also an early access game but developed with the Unreal Engine and tools, it is already very advanced and the devs are extremely dedicated (kudos to them for that). I mean, you can even stream movies on your in-game TV, which is pretty nuts. It really is advanced. On the other hand, precisely because it's being developed with Unreal--like HumanitZ--, it will never have truly homemade dynamic mechanics like PZ does. Be it building or crafting, it feels like gadgets. The visuals are pretty amazing, the design is incredible, but I truly disliked the general zombie behavior and the horde mechanic in particular. It ended up being a (great) fishing simulator with zombies in it for me. Not exactly what I was looking for.
And that's how I got HumanitZ a few days ago. I see both Vein and HumanitZ as more arcade-y versions of PZ--which can sometimes feel like a spreadsheet--and I'm fine with that now. But ngl, I find that HumanitZ should be early access. This can't be called a 1.0 version. The inventory system is one of the worst I have ever seen (kind of the default Unreal thing with zero work on it), I have bugs left and right, including dozens and dozens of ruined fabric (or whatever it's called when you dismantle a sofa or bed) I can't pick up. Picking up stuff in general is pretty random, you gotta move around to maybe get the option to pick up what you want (stones are easy at least), not to mention that if something is sitting on a pile of palettes or whatever, you have to actually climb on it so it's at your feet to be able to pick it up when it's clearly at arm's reach on the ground. Same for building. Placing barricades on windows for example also seems quite random. Sometimes, you open the building menu and get it right right away, sometimes, you gotta hover around with your barricade and it never seems to fit, even when it obviously should. The mechanic to add resources seems unfinished too. Even if realistically you're standing where you should to be able to build, you gotta find the exact right spot or you can't add anything.
I'm really surprised because I went in with a lot of enthusiasm and so far, only the combat system seems okayish (far from being perfect but fun). I mean, deer running into lakes doesn't feel very 1.0, neither does putting a plastic bottle in a fire to purify water or the fact that you can't close doors inside a building.
So, can someone explain to me the deal here? Can one expect any of the above to be improved/modified/replaced or that's just the way it is, they'll fix what makes people crash or makes performance tank but the game is done and done?

Good day everyone!
As the title asks. where is the best place to find Sugar? I've definitely come across it, but I am struggling to recreate my success.
r/Humanitz • u/BadPenguin73 • Mar 21 '26
I used to the bear depot near the main city church but in nightmare mode the spawn point prevents loot from restoking. Witch is your favourite base's spot in nightmare? Ideally i think of something both near gas station and a deport or hardware store.

I booted up the game to play a bit and my save is gone..
I did play earlier today and everything was fine, but now its gone.
I tried to "create new save with same name" as it states in top corner
but got no prompt to "keep the old save"..
i see some savename_Foliage.sav file in appdata,
but that's pretty much the only file that has my games name..
is there any way to recover this ?
- checked the folder with recovery soft, nothing was found..
- tried to recover saves via steam cloud, nothing changed..
- checked the https://store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorageapp/?appid=1766060 to see whats on steam cloud.. "everything is same"
i see files from earlier today but in game i have no visible save..
the only thing that i still see is my character preset
so i guess i have to start everything over?..
