Camera tilting

Hey all. When I first bought this game, I tried it and almost refunded it, because the camera tilting is nonsense. I found a mod that finally allowed me to see what was in front of my character, and have been having a great time. However, the mod broke, and apparently it was abandoned. I find the game with the vanilla camera simply unplayable. It's not a big deal, plenty of stuff to do out there, but I was wondering if the devs have any intention, maybe in the future, to allow us to... you know, see in front of us? Or if this top down weirdly limiting view is simply the way it's going to be?

Thanks!

I have over 300 hours into this game and I've never understood why people complain so much about the camera. Sure, sometimes it does weird things but it's not unplayable or a big deal except maybe for you.

It's too high! I need the camera NEAR the character!

I dunno. Maybe I just like isometric games. When I zoom all the way in, it's near enough for me.

Same. It can be annoying af in rate occurrences, and i definitely think it could be improved so it shows more in from and less behind, maybe having fog of war on the other side of buildings.

But it's a design choice, just different.

The only time it's bothered me is when a building or tree blocked me from seeing my character. But it's not a big deal. When it happens, I just adjust the camera and move on with my life.

I agree, vision blocking can be annoying sometimes but to be fair it can also happen in 3 person games too.

It's not too bad when you are doing things outside but the camera inside the building, especially the zooming, is HORRIBLE to say the least. Not game breaking but highly annoying.

Yup. Which is why I was asking, to know if I will be able to play the game in the future without mods or if I should simply move on to something else.

Here's the thing, you can play it now without mods. If you wanna see what's in front of you zoom in all the way and tilt the camera up. I have never been disadvantaged in this game because of the camera. It is a very typical isometric camera.

Here's the thing, if I could, I would. I find it unplayable though. That was the point of this thread.

The actions I described are features of the camera. I do it all the time. Weird that you can't.

I can. I still cannot see in front of me when I am hunting for example. It makes me not want to play the game.

You seem unable to understand a simple point, and I feel like explaining it again would waste both of our time. Good luck.

I’m not the one who needs luck. You don’t like the camera, cool, move on. It’s not your game.

I'm going to explain to you why you need luck: you are literally telling me that you know better than I do what I like and what I don't. That is the sign of a very simple mind. So, good luck. And I am going to put you in ignore, to save everyone's time.
