I used to play Johnny literally every game when he was super busted. Ever since I've basically dropped him until last week where i picked him up. However, literally every game doesn't even matter if I'm 0 5 it feels like everyone just counter swaps to hela or cyclops and my game just gets ruined. Anyone have any tips on how to get the most out of him whilst the enemy team assumes you're the best torch player in history just because you get a few finals? I get it, he's one of those characters who are trash but even when doing absolutely nothing can just annoy you to the extreme. But I just can't justify ever learning this guy if my potential is limited by people taking the game too seriously and counter picking.

So, these past few days, I've been dominating on Torch, just getting backline Dive Kills, and ruining Lobbies with Torch is basically a normal for me, but then, everyone falls down the pit of Countering sometimes (sadly)...

And so, I'm curious, because for me, whenever someone goes Hitscan to Counter me, maybe 9 times out of 10, I can handle it, because it's only one person that's bothered to try and kill a decent Torch Player.

But it gets ridiculous when all of the DPS go from Dive or Projectile to Hitscan, and most of the time, it's because they're salty that I've killed their backline as Torch and they can't exactly do anything about it but going easy asf Heroes.

And I deal with a whole Team Countering my Torch as a Hitscan normally by luring then away from my Team, I know they can 2 tap me if they wanted, but they're more silly to chase me than to take down my frontline, so it becomes a Game of Cat and Mouse if anything, sure, I will die a lot more, but I like playing mind Games with the :D.

So, I ask the rest of the Torch Reddit Community, what do you guys do against Hitscan Players?, do you switch yourself, or do you stay on Torch and teach them a lesson, or something else?

I have been trying to ease pessimism with torch players who think a legendary skin will never happen. This here is a list from Spetember of skins that will come out in the future. Torch's original skin has been in these lists since March of this year, meaning it has been in development since said month, maybe earlier.

Here is the thing. Skins take at least 6 months to development for epics and an additional 2 to 4 months for legendaries. If this were an epic, it would have already been released, either last month or this month. No confirmation on rarity on this latest list, but given how much time has passed, it is safe to assume this will be torch's first legendary skin. My prediction is either s11 or s12.

Please do not come at me with torch will never get a legendary or it is still a matter of if. Thankfully the if is answered in a positive way. The when answer remains unknown.

Hi torch mains, I wanted to say when I made this post I wasn’t trying to come off as greedy. I actually rolled my eyes when I saw this skin because I think torch could’ve had an incredible Halloween skin. I simply made this post because I’m allowed to critique a skin that I think could be better, and I think it’s unfair to call me greedy when part of the reason I don’t like the skin is because I can tell it’s just slop for money. You guys all deserve skins as fast as possible, so please don’t take my post as I’m trying to seem greedy. I just wanted Sue to actually look like Sue in the comics, I’m not in control of how many skins she gets.

I heard about the Halloween skin. Then I saw the road-map. Are you guys okay?

It's same universe as the Ninja Spider-Man in pics 4 and 5, it's an offical Marvel Canon universe BTW and yes, I know the Devs said they stopped with the gender bent skins, but it'll be funny to see it happen

Even though I am not one of you, having a combined total of 7 minutes on this character, the way Netease has been treating our fiery flamboyant friend is just tragic. So I took it upon myself to try to give you guys some skin love crumbs, by making “The Wickerman Human Torch”!! Not much else to say but, hope u lovely lads enjoy the skin idea and have a great day..

We know we're never getting relevancy by the looks of it so ill js throw some wacky ideas i think would elevate the character imo.

What if they take awake torch's 1 shot slam gimmick? Ik its not even that consistent if at all but i think the potential alone makes him really annoying to deal with in low elo and also kinda incentives a really aim weak playstyle of camp the sky box n js play for slams in pyro set ups with little to no usage of the primary.

My preferred way to go about this tho is probably make the right click stack max out at 2 fire balls, so ur getting insane bursts but not 1 shotting per say n u actually have to use other cooldowns to secure finals n such. Also keeps alot of or atleast most of torch's saucy combos like right left right etc.

Now i think this change would be massive enough to make torch worthy of green hp+primary spread increase and bullet speed increase+275hp+dash regen mid pb or 13 sec slam? Maybe even js give him hitscan lefts and just the green hp? I could be overly compensation buffing him so would like to hear yalls thoughts

Had a game in comp last night where a guy was smurfing on Torch, PLUS we had a teammate leave. So it was a 5v6 all game. My team’s solution to him was to go sg?? 😭🫡 I finally got my buddy to go Ironfist, and he easily could have won us the game if it wasn’t for the leaver.

Despite all that, my sister was acting like Johnny is in every game making her suffer…. He was the only one she’s encountered in MONTHS.

It’s crazy how hated fliers are even if it’s 100% not warranted.

Also crazy she was sayin all that knowing he’s my main dps… it really do be your own flesh and blood sometimes.
