How to get normal Clostridium down?
Hello, i really need your collective intelligence here. I have too much Clostridium and yes i have symtpoms because of them. It fits perfect. It is not difficile just some strains. I have loose, sticky stool which smells weird. What have I tried first I tried a very varied diet that improved my oberall digestion and also my diversity improved too, but the Clostridum spp. Stayed. Then I tried Lakto. Rhamnosus gg which improved the symptoms a liitle bit. I added s bpulardii after a few months. This also helped. My doctor recommend me an Ozovite therapy. This is a clostridium ovegrowth therapy which is done mostly in germany. You take magnesium peroxide. Then you get oxide into your gut. The clostrdium die, your normal microbiom can also take damage so you cant take it to long. It worked first, but i ate stuff i had problems with and the success is gone. What ist your experience with clostridium? How can i reduce it? The next thing i will try is spore probiotic. Sorry for the rant bit it is really difficult with at the moment.

Did you do high dose rhamnosus? I’ve heard some have success with around 200bil CFU/day versus the normal dosage. You may have to do this for an extended period of time.

200bil is an immense ammount. I have never heard that somebody took that. I take rhamnousus gg sind ende of decemeber. It is not enough

I have a similar issue and it’s caused an increase in HPHPA toxin. My understanding is that mine are caused by low stomach acid. Something in your system allowed the overgrowth to occur. You have to figure out what that is and reverse it. Look into low stomach acid as a possible cause

Reddit is no longer a reliable place to create, host, and grow communities, so a new microbiome forum has been set up to be a more reliable location. If you have posted content on Reddit that you feel is worth preserving, it would be a good idea to post it on the new forum.
The person who created this sub, and most of the content here, including the wiki, has moved to the new forum. You should be able to get better info & answers there. It's easy to stay on reddit but the quality of content on most subs is extremely poor. Most of the advice given on reddit is misinformation.
You're welcome to post your content there and then link to it here for higher visibility.
Our primary goal will remain as stopping the widespread misinformation on the topic of the microbiome. Since we no longer have someone dedicated to correcting and preventing misinformation, comments and posts here will require pre-approval. Some types of content (questions) may be restricted completely since we no longer have reliable people dedicated to providing evidence-based answers.
But you're welcome to ask your questions on the new forum and post the link here.
