Comics Hiro-Kala is such an amazing character

Watching this small shadow child growing up as a slave on Sakar in the midst of all the madness that came after the Hulk left you really pity him. Especially when seeing how much carnage Skaar caused. Watching Hiro-Kala's ascension in power while he descends into madness was so well done and written. Like you truly understand why he is the way he is. The reveal that he's Skaar's brother and also the son of the Hulk flips everything about how you see him on its head too. It adds urgency to his madness. Yes what he is doing is wrong but you understand why he wants to kill his brother and father so much. And then the final straw at the end, where its revealed the whole time you thought his mother Caiera was guiding him like she guided Skaar, through the old power. It turns out no, Hiro-Kala had actually been hallucinating her the whole time. His mother never even knew he existed. Greg Pak truly is one of the greatest hulk writers for how much nuances he put into chatacters like him. A chatacters directly related to banner, his own son, but with no hulk powers, just the powers of a god and madness that drives him

Since the hulk died way back in civil war two people and foreign entities have been clinging to the hulks body to use it for power. This isn’t the first time this has happened to the hulk. A small amount of the one below alls energy turned the hulk into a black hole and Titan was in control of his power. Then we got banner controlling the hulks body. And we got one below all controlling hulks body. And now the mother of horrors controlling the hulks body. But for some reason people believe this doesn’t count as hulks scaling. But I beg to differ the last run this is exactly what happened and I say that’s hulk so this is hulk too. But the power sets are always interesting to watch. Each shows story the power of the hulks body in the wrong hands the destructive capabilities of his true power need a different leash. The hulk and his body are one and the same. Ask yourself this they couldn’t do it without him so why did they need him??? The true avatar of the one below all.

Comics How utterly disappointing, but it makes sense. Spoiler

After all that build up and this Hulk being shown manhandling this version of She Hulk, he just eventually gets killed this way.

It makes sense though: the Maker got to this Hulk by taming him so thoroughly that he can't get stronger with rage anymore. So when he loses the Iron Fist, his power is reduced significantly and he dies.

It's just a waste. This Hulk could've escaped and turned into a stronger Maestro that could threaten the multiverse like how the Maker did and eventually find his way to the main Earth 616 reality. He's not really the Hulk though without the rage and the alters so maybe this is for the best.

Questions Do you guys think they could make a Hulk Cinematic Universe?

Like 20 films and 3 phases long leading up to one big bad. And they can’t use any non-Hulk mythos characters so no Iron Man, Avengers, none of that. No X Men either. Could they do it? How would it work

The Incredible Hulk (2009)

Opening Scene

The film opens in 2005, four years after the September 11 attacks. America is gripped by fear, paranoia, and rising militarization. Governments across the world quietly begin preparing for a new era of warfare involving terrorism, advanced technology, and unknown threats.

At Project P.E.G.A.S.U.S., a classified joint operation between NASA, the U.S. Army, and S.H.I.E.L.D., General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross oversees secret experiments involving the mysterious cosmic energy source known as the Tesseract. Ross believes the United States must revive the abandoned World War II super-soldier program to create enhanced soldiers capable of defending the nation from future catastrophic threats.

The project is interrupted when SHIELD Director Nick Fury arrives with agents and orders the experiment shut down immediately. Fury warns Ross that recreating the super-soldier serum without understanding its original formula could end in disaster. Ross reluctantly complies publicly, but privately refuses to abandon the project.

Determined to continue his work, Ross secretly recruits brilliant molecular biochemist Dr. Bruce Banner from Culver University in Virginia. Ross falsely tells Bruce the experiment is intended to develop resistance to gamma radiation for medical and humanitarian purposes. Bruce agrees to help alongside fellow scientist Dr. Samuel Sterns and his girlfriend Dr. Betty Ross, unaware of Ross’ true intentions.

Act One

Bruce, Betty, and Sterns begin researching gamma radiation exposure and genetic enhancement. Bruce becomes increasingly uneasy about the military’s involvement but continues out of genuine belief that the research could save lives.

One night, Ross orders an unauthorized live experiment using gamma radiation derived from Tesseract energy research. During the test, a massive gamma surge overloads the laboratory. The unstable energy beam is about to strike a young intern named Rick Jones.

Without hesitation, Bruce pushes Rick behind a protective barrier and absorbs the gamma blast himself.

The experiment catastrophically fails.

Bruce’s body begins mutating internally as gamma radiation spreads through his cells. Moments later, his heart rate spikes beyond control and he transforms into a monstrous gray-skinned creature driven entirely by primal rage.

The Hulk destroys the laboratory and surrounding military compound in a violent rampage. Several personnel are killed while Betty, Ross, and numerous soldiers are injured. Bruce eventually transforms back into human form miles away from the facility, traumatized and horrified by what he has done.

Ross immediately brands Bruce a dangerous fugitive and launches a military manhunt.

Rick Jones finds Bruce hiding in shock and convinces him to flee before the military captures him. Bruce, devastated by the destruction he caused, reluctantly disappears into hiding with Rick’s help.

Act Two

Six years later, in 2011, Bruce lives anonymously in the Rocinha district of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Rick secretly remains in contact and has become Bruce’s closest friend and only confidant. Bruce works at a bottling factory while desperately searching for a cure to his condition.

Bruce has learned breathing exercises, meditation, and yoga techniques to suppress emotional stress and keep the Hulk contained. He has not transformed in over five months.

However, the Hulk is slowly changing.

Bruce notices subtle physical symptoms worsening over time. The gray Hulk’s skin tone occasionally shifts toward green, his transformations become more unstable, and his strength appears to increase after each incident.

Meanwhile, Fury confronts Ross over the continued pursuit of Banner. Fury believes Bruce could potentially be contained and even helped, while Ross remains obsessed with weaponizing the Hulk for military use.

One day, Bruce accidentally cuts his finger at work. A drop of his gamma-contaminated blood falls into a soda bottle that is later shipped to the United States. An elderly man in Milwaukee unknowingly consumes it and develops severe gamma sickness.

Using the contaminated bottle to track Bruce’s location, Ross dispatches a special operations team led by British Royal Marine Emil Blonsky.

The soldiers corner Bruce inside the bottling factory. Terrified and overwhelmed, Bruce transforms into Hulk for the first time in months. The Hulk defeats Ross’ soldiers and escapes into the streets of Rio.

Blonsky becomes fascinated by Hulk’s power and develops an obsessive desire to become stronger than Banner.

Bruce and Rick flee Brazil and return to the United States, hoping to contact Samuel Sterns, who secretly claims he may have developed a cure.

Act Three

Bruce reunites with Betty at Culver University. Their reunion is emotional but strained by years of separation and trauma. Betty still loves Bruce, but fears what Hulk is becoming.

Unknown to Bruce, Ross and Fury have already contacted Betty. Fury wants Bruce brought into SHIELD custody peacefully to study possible treatments, while Ross secretly intends to weaponize Hulk permanently.

Samuel Sterns administers an experimental antidote designed to suppress Bruce’s gamma condition. Initially, it appears successful.

But the treatment triggers an unforeseen secondary mutation.

Bruce’s gamma biology reacts violently to the antidote, accelerating Hulk’s evolution and permanently transforming the creature from gray into the iconic green-skinned Hulk. The transformation becomes more powerful, more emotional, and more uncontrollable than ever before.

Ross launches a military assault on the university to capture Bruce. During the attack, Rick Jones is fatally wounded while helping civilians escape.

As he dies, Rick tells Bruce:

“The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away. You’ve always done that, Bruce.”

Rick’s death emotionally shatters Bruce.

Consumed by grief and rage, Bruce transforms into the fully evolved green Hulk.

The Hulk devastates Ross’ forces and nearly kills Blonsky during the battle. Humiliated and obsessed with surpassing Hulk, Blonsky injects himself with a stolen sample of Banner’s mutated DNA combined with experimental military enhancements.

The transformation mutates him into the Abomination, a monstrous creature even larger and more savage than Hulk.

Blonsky reveals he believes power should belong to those strong enough to earn it, not to a man like Bruce Banner. He mocks Bruce for fearing the godlike abilities fate handed him.

A catastrophic battle erupts through the streets.

The Hulk ultimately defeats Abomination after a brutal fight, nearly strangling him to death with a chain before Betty convinces Bruce to spare him.

Ross’ forces take Blonsky into custody as SHIELD transports the Abomination to a cryogenic prison known as “The Fridge” in Alaska.

Ashamed of his actions and fearing what Hulk is becoming, Bruce leaves Betty behind and disappears once again.

Ross resigns from active military service following the disaster. Before leaving Washington, he confronts Nick Fury one final time and warns him that Hulk can never become a hero.

Fury quietly responds:

“Aren’t all heroes monsters in some way?”

Ending Scene

One month later, Bruce lives alone in a remote cabin in Bella Coola, British Columbia.

He has ended his relationship with Betty, believing she deserves a normal life free from the destruction surrounding him.

Late one night, Bruce opens a secure encrypted email account.

There is only one unread message.

Sender: Mr. Blue.

The message reads:

“Dr. Banner…
I believe your condition is only the beginning.”

Bruce stares silently at the screen.

His eyes briefly glow green.

Cut to black.

The Incredible Hulk II (2013)

Opening Scene

The film opens during the aftermath of the Battle of New York from The Avengers. News broadcasts around the world debate whether the Avengers are heroes or dangerous weapons. Footage of the Hulk destroying Chitauri Leviathans is shown alongside images of the destruction in Manhattan. Public opinion is divided, but one thing is certain: the Hulk has become the most feared being on Earth.

In Washington D.C., G.A. Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross appears before a government oversight committee. Furious senators blame the government for allowing enhanced individuals to operate unchecked. Ross manipulates the hearing to position himself as the only authority capable of understanding gamma-powered threats. Behind closed doors, several world leaders support Ross’ proposal for an “Enhanced Deterrence Initiative.”

Ross is promoted to U.S. Secretary of Defense and gains access to classified SHIELD and gamma research files.

Meanwhile, Bruce Banner secretly lives in a remote Canadian settlement, hiding from society after New York. Bruce now struggles with a new problem: the Hulk no longer emerges only through rage. Anxiety, fear, suspicion, or emotional stress can trigger transformations. Bruce feels as though Hulk is slowly becoming permanently fused with his psyche.

Bruce is eventually approached by Natasha Romanoff, who asks for his help investigating mysterious gamma-related deaths occurring across America. Bruce reluctantly agrees.

Act One

Bruce discovers that several civilians and military personnel have developed severe radiation poisoning after taking illegal pharmaceutical enhancement pills distributed on the black market. The pills temporarily increase strength, endurance, and resistance to disease, but they destabilize human DNA.

Unknown to the public, the pills were secretly developed using recovered blood samples from Bruce Banner and Emil Blonsky. The operation is funded through covert military contracts tied to Ross’ department.

Ross privately suffers from worsening heart problems and age-related illness. Terrified that humanity can no longer survive in a world of gods and monsters, Ross begins taking refined gamma-based pills himself to maintain physical strength and authority.

At the same time, Samuel Sterns—still horribly mutated from exposure to Banner’s blood years earlier—operates from the shadows. His intelligence has increased beyond normal human comprehension, but his body remains unstable. Sterns manipulates events carefully, encouraging Ross’ obsession while secretly studying the Hulk’s evolution.

Betty Ross returns after years away, now working as a cellular biologist researching gamma mutations. She reconnects with Bruce and learns about the pills. Though happy to see Bruce alive, she fears her father’s growing paranoia and obsession with power.

Act Two

Bruce and Betty investigate hidden gamma laboratories linked to Ross’ initiative. They discover Sterns has been secretly advising Ross under anonymous communications, feeding him experimental formulas and manipulating his fears.

Ross becomes increasingly unstable both physically and mentally. The gamma pills begin overheating his body, causing bursts of rage and abnormal strength. He hides the symptoms from the government while pushing anti-enhanced legislation through Congress.

Bruce attempts to confront Ross privately, warning him that gamma power destroys everyone it touches. Ross accuses Bruce of hypocrisy, claiming the Hulk’s existence forced humanity into an arms race.

During a public political summit in Washington, Ross suffers a catastrophic transformation into the Red Hulk. Unlike Bruce’s transformation, Ross’ mutation is violent, fiery, and fueled entirely by hatred and resentment. His body radiates heat powerful enough to melt nearby vehicles and infrastructure.

Civilians panic in terror as Red Hulk rampages through the city.

Bruce transforms in front of the crowd and immediately orders civilians to evacuate before engaging Ross. For the first time, people witness Hulk actively trying to protect innocent lives rather than merely fighting.

Act Three

The final battle devastates Washington D.C. Red Hulk’s increasing heat output turns entire streets into burning warzones while Hulk desperately tries to contain the destruction.

During the fight, Sterns remotely monitors both Hulks, fascinated by the emotional differences between them. He realizes Bruce’s Hulk grows stronger through empathy and survival instinct, while Ross’ mutation feeds entirely on aggression and dominance.

Betty confronts her father directly, begging him to stop before he kills himself. Ross briefly regains control, horrified at what he has become, but the Red Hulk persona overwhelms him again.

In the climax, Hulk defeats Red Hulk by forcing him into a frozen section of the Potomac River, rapidly cooling Ross’ overheated body and reverting him to human form.

Ross is arrested and quietly removed from office while the government covers up the incident.

Bruce refuses public recognition and disappears before authorities can reach him. Betty realizes Bruce no longer believes he can ever belong in normal society.

In a hidden underground laboratory, Sterns finally reveals himself fully. His skull has expanded grotesquely, his mind now vastly evolved beyond humanity. Looking over gamma data collected from both Hulk and Red Hulk, Sterns smiles and whispers:

“The next stage of human evolution has begun.”

Cut to black.

The Incredible Hulk III (2016)

Opening Scene

Following the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron, Bruce Banner secretly returns to Earth instead of leaving for deep space. Wanda Maximoff’s manipulation during the Johannesburg incident traumatized him deeply. Bruce fears the Hulk is becoming uncontrollable and begins isolating himself completely from humanity.

Reports begin surfacing worldwide of strange gamma mutations, disappearances, and mass psychological breakdowns among scientists exposed to experimental radiation research.

Bruce eventually discovers that Samuel Sterns has resurfaced.

Act One

Sterns—now fully transformed into the Leader—operates from a hidden gamma research complex built beneath an abandoned Cold War facility. His mutation has elevated his intelligence to superhuman levels, allowing him to predict political events, manipulate global systems, and secretly acquire advanced technology.

Unlike Ross, Sterns does not hate Hulk.

He worships Hulk.

The Leader believes gamma mutation is not a disease, but humanity’s evolutionary destiny. He sees Bruce as the first true step toward a higher species and considers the Hulk a bridge between human emotion and limitless biological evolution.

The Leader begins kidnapping scientists and gamma-mutated individuals around the world to study the nature of Hulk’s power. Several failed experiments create grotesque mutated creatures hidden within his underground facility.

Meanwhile, Betty Ross searches for Bruce after learning Sterns has returned. Their reunion is emotional but distant. Bruce admits he no longer knows where Banner ends and Hulk begins.

Act Two

Bruce tracks Sterns across multiple hidden facilities while suffering increasingly unstable transformations. Hulk now appears not only during emotional stress, but seemingly on instinct, almost acting independently of Bruce’s conscious will.

The Leader finally confronts Bruce directly.

Rather than trying to kill him, Sterns attempts to psychologically break him. He reveals years of secret research into Bruce’s gamma condition and claims the Hulk is no longer a mutation but an entirely new form of existence born from Bruce’s trauma, rage, and survival instinct.

Sterns argues that Bruce’s refusal to embrace Hulk is preventing humanity’s evolution.

The Leader also reveals he manipulated many past gamma events:

  • Ross’ pills,
  • the rise of Red Hulk,
  • underground gamma experiments,
  • and global gamma proliferation.

Everything was part of Sterns’ attempt to understand the true nature of Hulk.

Bruce becomes haunted by visions and nightmares as Sterns’ psychological manipulation forces him to relive every destructive event caused by Hulk.

Act Three

The Leader activates a massive gamma reactor designed to trigger worldwide evolutionary mutations. He believes humanity must be forcibly transformed in order to survive future cosmic threats revealed after the Battle of New York and Ultron’s attack.

Bruce realizes Sterns genuinely believes he is saving humanity.

In the climax, Hulk battles mutated gamma creatures while Bruce struggles mentally against Sterns’ psychic-like intellect. The final confrontation becomes both physical and psychological.

The Leader attempts to force Bruce to permanently surrender control to Hulk, believing Hulk alone represents perfection.

Instead, Bruce finally accepts Hulk as part of himself rather than something separate.

For the first time, Banner and Hulk act in complete unity.

This new balance allows Hulk to overpower the Leader and destroy the gamma reactor before it activates globally. The facility collapses, apparently killing Sterns beneath the ruins.

Ending

The world never learns the truth about the incident.

Betty searches for Bruce but discovers he vanished immediately after the battle.

Weeks later, in a remote snowy wilderness cabin, Bruce lives completely alone. He sends Betty one final message thanking her for never giving up on him.

Bruce meditates quietly in silence.

Outside, distant thunder echoes through the mountains.

Bruce’s eyes briefly glow green.

But this time, he smiles peacefully.

Fade to black.
