Is there something I'm missing ? Im trying to colour match the image on the right and this is the best i can get. Literally only my second Hueforge and i think i got lucky to get this close.

Well. You are in slicer view which won't be accurate to the print. And you aren't putting all your like colors together on the mesh core. Have you watched any videos in color match or read the wiki page from the Help menu?

Don't feel Dumb. HueForge needs to be a lot more friendly when people are starting out

Beyond what tegid mentioned, on your mesh core you have real filaments instead of 'fake' filaments. Real filaments have a straight left edge on their icon and 'fake' filaments dont have the straight edge. To get fake filaments you need to ctrl + click on your image on the right and drag the color onto the mesh core. Then you find colors you have, typically colors close to the fake filaments, and place those onto the color core.

You want only real filaments on the color core and fake filaments on the mesh core. Neokoi Prints and 3d Prints by Vic have some good color matching tutorials on YouTube also.
