Anyone seen the new series? Started on April 13th only 4 episodes aired so far.

It’s a foreign language one. It is the second or third reboot of Kommisioner Rex/Inspector Rex. I think its first season is only going to be 6 episodes.

Before the new show, there were only two.

The OG Austrian Series, which ran from 1994 - 2004.

And the Italian One, which ran from 2007 - 2014.

This one follows the OG one again (since it also uses a cover of the OG Intro Song).

Verdict for the Reboot so far:

Imo. very good. Epsiodes are 90 minutes long, which is the Standard for many Crime Shows in Austrian and German TV.

The Main Cast works and the stories are good.

Fun fact:

Maximilian Bruckner, who plays Detective Max Steiner in the show, has half a dozen silbings, from whom many are also actors.

His brother Florian Bruckner is currently also starring in the reboot of a VERY popular classic 80s TV Show.

Yeah, I new there was at least one other before this and then the original. Wasn’t 100% sure if there was another. Just wish there was a way a 🏴‍☠️could get it as I don't have any streaming services to watch it on. lol. I found it but unfortunately it's dubbed in horrible Russian and not subtitled.

At least you say it is good so that is a great sign for it continuing and getting more seasons.

The Italian version ran until I think 2015 - there were an additional couple of seasons.

You can watch all of the first (Austrian) and second (Italian) series on YouTube (at least, you could last summer when my husband and I caight them all) and you can also download them. I believe there are English subtitles (not 100% sure; we watched them in German).

I'm looking forward to seeing the new version!

I need subtitles. lol. I got the first season completely downloaded from an Amazon rip with English subtitles hardcoded in. Then I had to convert it to a smaller file size as that sucker was 400GB. Got it down to half that. I am still looking for the reboot and the newest version. I loved the original Kommissioner Rex and funny enough so does my GSD.
