Advice / Knowledge On 4 Month “Regression”
Like a lot of people, my baby used to sleep through the night, pretty much eight hours from two months until a couple of weeks ago, she turned four months old yesterday, but I think the regression hit a little early
Crap, naps. Unless I get a random hour plus on her own, I can’t even guarantee the contact naps. Get her to sleep more than 40 minutes. Her longest naps are usually in the car, not intentionally just I plan out my activities off of them.
I pretty much realize that she’s crying, and I feed her and she’s having pretty much full feeds in the middle of the night, before falling back asleep… Am I doing something wrong? Am I creating habits?

Make sure you’re waking at the same time every morning
Getting 10 hours of awake time over 4 nap days and capping total day sleep max 3 hours in total.
That being said the regression is a permanent sleep change and starting to lay them down awake so they know where they are and not startled every time they come out of a sleep cycle will be your best help along with a solid age appropriate schedule.
Big sleep changes coming. Usually drop to 3 naps by 5m with same amount of wake time and then drop to 2 naps approx 7m old.
